Have offers for both places. I realize they both have pros and cons, and I have stayed at both for years, but our last visit in June for both properties was no fun at all. The 5000 points per day criteria at the Wynn is ridiculous. The casino was horrible and it wasn't worth losing your shirt to get the points. The Venetian has more conventions going on than anywhere else I've stayed and seems to be over crowded with mostly people visiting from the strip. The casino layout is horrible and the machines are mostly penny versions. There hardly is any $1 slots which I prefer.

If you had to choose one, which would you stay and play? I stay at the Mirage all the time with one of these properties per visit. Should I play somewhere else to get offers?

    Thanks guys

Sorry, but I have to ask...why on earth would you limit your choices to two casinos you clearly don't like?

And what is this 5000 point per day criteria you're talking about?

Sounds to me like you might be ready for a change??

I agree you don't sound thrilled about either one. Why don't you send one of your current marketing offers to a host at another hotel and see if they are willing to extend something for your dates and try something new? Possibly Aria/MGM/Cosmo?

The 5000 point criteria is what they expect you to earn on your players card per day to cover 1 nights stay. So 3 nights=15,000 points Which on there point system is a ton of coin in dollars.

Can you send marketing offers to other properties? How successful has that worked? This might be worth a shot in getting into another property without paying up front room fees. What are some of your favorite places to stay and play?

Depends on what's important to you. Room size, amenities, casino, atmosphere?

Stay at Wynn but forget about their 5000 points nonsense.
I once stayed there and earned a total 95 of points in 3 days. Granted, they were not happy, so what?
I didn't have a host there, I don't care if they will send me offers in the future or not.

It's always worth a shot to try, some places will offer something, including matching another corporate offer that's valid during the travel dates. The worst they can say is no, but could also offer a casino/host rate then evaluate the play at the end of the trip. If you go on the company website, many offer the host directory online.

I actually am playing/staying at Palazzo my last 4 trips- I like the size and access to shopping and dining options around.

Previously I was staying at Cosmo- fun vibe, great rooms with balconies, and I thought they gave generous marketing offers. However, I found the slot floor space somewhat smallish to keep my interest for an entire trip, as well as smaller restaurant selection. If you are okay in potentially spreading your play a bit for those kinda reasons- Cosmo is a great location. Next to Bellagio and Aria, across the street PH and Paris. With those options in easy walking distance, there's lots of gaming very close as well as fantastic restaurant choices. If you aren't into the more boutique style of the Cosmo and the slightly limited gaming/restaurant issue, then maybe try Aria if you still prefer a higher end experience- I myself haven't stayed there, but it seems to be highly regarded on the board and has more options on site~

    Good luck!

They both have issues.. completely opposite issues haha. Wynn is dead, Venetian is too hoppin'.. Can you get in to Palazzo I find that to be a little more sane than Venetian and their casino has a better layout.. I think I'd stick with Venetian/palazzo considering what you posted.

Yea, can you get in to Aria, I love it there! I would imagine you could call over there and tell them your situation about Wynn and Venetian and what offer you have currently and you want to take your money else where.. they could very well help you.
