On my next trip this coming up weekend to Tahoe I should make Seven Star (4300 tier points away). I've been looking at the benefits to this and was wondering on acouple things.

    Annual Trip:
    1. Can I extend the trip length on these? I was really liking the AC trip because its so close to New York and neither my woman or I have ever been. So I was thinking if the Trip was supposed to be 3 day or whatever, could I extend the flight to lets say 7 days? I know I'll have to pay for the hotel in New York, but atleast we could make a double vacation out of this and not have to pay for the flights.
    2. What if I only gambled for the first day I was in AC and then left to go to New York for the remainder of the trip, would that be looked at poorly?

    NCL:
    1. I see I get a free cruise for being seven star. Is this good for all of 2016 since I'll be I seven start this year?
    2. Anyone done these? If so which one and how did you like it? I was thinking the europe one (even tho I know the flights will be pricey), but I'd love to hear from someone that took the europe one.
    3. Can you pay the difference to upgrade the cruise to a 12 day?
    4. On a side note I love that you get the free drink card right off the bat, but looking at the casino at sea rewards program it talks about getting "ultra" Premium drinks, what are those?

Thanks for anyone help, and if theres anything I missed thats a benefit please let me know so I dont miss out on something that I might want.

sevenstarinsider.com is an excellent resource. Most of your questions could be answered on that site.

    NCL
You have a cruise benefit to use by March 31, 2016.
You have to choose a cruise for 5-8 days.
You get drinks in the casino. This is not the same as the ship beverage program.
If NCL are part of the 7 star benefits next year, you'll get another cruise after April 1.

    1) I believe you can extend your trip without issue. All travel is coordinated by their travel agency and you just need to let them know.
    2) Your future offers will suffer but they aren't going to take your flight home away. They might not offer much in terms of additional comps but you will have your $500 folio credit for your annual trip.

There is a website called http://www.sevenstarsinsider.com/ which has information on taking annual trips. I would recomend it.

I've done an NCL western Caribbean out of New Orleans. It's nice because they have a Harrahs there and you can stay for free on the back and front end of the cruise if you like.

Ultra premium drinks are things above your standard well drinks. Any fancy cocktail or call liquor. I think it was around $12 for an upgraded Bloody Mary with better vodka in it.

I did check out the sevenstarinsider.com and it had quite a few things in there. I didn't think it answered my questions so I must have missed a few things.

newmans - When you say I take one before March 31 and then get another after April 1st, do you mean I get basically 2 cruises? Would this matter if I didn't make seven start again next year?

Scottndindy/Imperial Palace King - Thanks for your answers. I'm glad I can extend my trip because it'll give us the opportunity to do a vacation we've wanted to do anyway without having to spend as much on it.

Funny this thread pops up...I called about the cruise just a few days ago....

You have to pay taxes, a surcharge and gratuities, some mandatory insurance etc etc etc on the "free cruise", when she told me the amount, I actually chuckled....for the 7 day from Barcelona the non free portion was going to run me about $1200USD PER PERSON...for the cruise and the upgraded beverage package, still had to pay for flights etc...

The Caribbean ones were to the tune of $800USD per person, I politely thanked the lovely lady from NCL for her time, and quickly erased the thought of taking the "free" cruise 7 star benefit.

This is your first year for seven stars??
You get all the 7 Star benefits to use by March 31, 2015.
You will be 7 Stars April 1. 2016 - March 31, 2017, based on your play this calendar year.
The 7 Star benefits for next year are unknown until April 1, 2016.
Assuming that there is still a cruise benefit next year, yes you will get a 2nd cruise.
** there are blackout dates. Hawaiian cruises are not included, as they don't have casinos.
You are 7 stars next year, and get all the benefits......even if you don't have any play.

I know.....not exactly free. For us Canadians, the airfare is huge to take a European cruise.

Last year there were 7 Star cruise events. They were a great value. 1 night prior at a CET property. A pre cruise event. All transfers, taxes, port charges and gratuities. Plus, you got a drink package, 3 specialty dinners. CET had hosts on board assigned to you. They hosted players at dinners. They also had a few shipboard events. I was disappointed they weren't offered this year.

Of it was actually free I would have potentially taken the Mediterranean cruise. ..but since the flights to Barcelona were about 1400 per person from Halifax ...well you know the story...I'll prolly just "save myself a few bucks " and go to vegas.....lol!

Last year I did the NCL cruise from New Orleans (7 days) and I used my annual trip to get the airfare paid. I flew in to NO one night early and stayed at Harrahs NO (actually it was booked up but they placed me next door at the Riverside Hotel). My host had no problem booking me only one night hotel but the airfare was 8 days apart. He said people so it all the time. He also said if you go to AC you can fly into NY but you won't get limo pick up from there and you need to stay at least one night in AC.

The 7 day cruise for 2 people I think was about $700 or $800 total. Can't remember exactly. It was my 16th cruise and they're all starting to blend together into one memory.

We got the free cruise at Diamond, for play in Windsor, before Diamond added the extra levels. We paid to upgrade to a balcony room and it was worth it. The drinks, as noted, are only free in the casino, not on the rest of the ship. Like iceicecool, we did the Caribbean out of NO and booked at the Harrahs property there. The whole experience was a blast, particularly for our first cruise.

For my Caribbean 7-day Seven star cruise, my taxes/fees are 277.41 per person. Then there is the DSC fee that is 94.50 per person now. I got the drink package when it was free with no extra fee on top of it. So, for 371.91 for the 7 day cruise in a balcony, I will take it.

Now the Seven Star event cruise last year was awesome, and hard to beat with no fees and giving us OBC.

Are you sailing out of Houston? That's a win to live in a port city and not have to buy airfare.

Yes, that will be out of Houston, with 75 parking expense for the week.

I think NCL might be leaving Houston after 2016. So, I would go back to NOLA, which is a cheap flight from Houston to avoid long drive to that port.

So another question then. I get some air fair with the lvl 2 diamond. Can I use that before March next year and get another one after April next year too? So I could use that for the cruise too.

Another played the craps on the ship? How was it? Did you find mostly exp players or just tourists that don't have a clue how to play?

    Thanks again

You have to use DA2 airfare by June 30,2016. You don't get a 2nd airfare to use after April 1. The Diamond benefits are earned in the calendar year to be used by March 31. They extended the flight to June 30th this year.
It doesn't work the same as 7 stars.
