Maybe not. It's not that uncommon to know famous actors' "real" names. My favorite, also well known, is Archibald Leach. Mr. Leach had a lot of fun with that one himself. Although he eventually reconciled himself to being famous, he never entirely stopped being Archie.

Back on this thread I just read this that I didn't know: Michael Keaton‘s real name is Michael Douglas but unfortunately the other Michael Douglas already claimed that name so Keaton had to pick another name. He choose Keaton as a new last name because he saw Diane Keaton‘s name in the newspaper. The funny part of the story is Diane Keaton’s birth name isn’t Keaton but Diane Hall and Michael Douglas gets his last name from his father Kirk Douglas who’s birth name is Issur Danielovitch.

I know that John Wayne's first name was Marion - I can't remember the last name - My husband can remember off the top of his head being a big John Wayne fan.

I'm not a he if referring to me, and since I'm older than dirt, I know these from memory of the good old days; on the other side of the coin, being older than dirt results in lots of brain burps bordering on senile - either way, no lookup here, did I mention I'm older than dirt?

FTR, I am a granny, enjoying the best time of my life with our 4 and 6 year old gransons; our daughters started their families on the late side which equals young grandkids and OLD grandparents! But we are only old in years, have an abundance of energy and youthful state of mind which brings us to our 2nd favorite thing in the world which is VEGAS! Didn't start going to Vegas til age 55 (two kids out of college and married) and have racked up 30 plus trips so far mostly with hubby, and looking forward to many more!
