I know there are a few sites, wondering which one would be the best to go to? Loving the free birthday pizza offer! I'll have a car, so off strip is no issues if those are better.
We like to sit outside at the one out by SunCoast at Boca Fashion Village. It's located in a lovely shopping center. Half priced wine on Tuesdays! It's not like we go visit every Grimaldi site but the one in Boca Fashion Village was a little better htan the one in Palazzo and a lot better than the one under the Brooklyn Bridge.
My wife and I have been to the two Grimaldi's on The Strip, but not to the other three in Las Vegas. I could not tell a difference between the one at Palazzo or the one at Fashion Show Mall - but other posters have sworn the two are very different in the quality of the food served. I don't mind Grimaldi's limited menu. You've only got a handful of things to choose from - and that's fine by me. I think it allows them to focus on what comes out of the kitchen that much more. We've always had good service at either of the Grimaldi's. I also think the prices are pretty reasonable - considering where they're located on The Strip. Bill
We enjoy the Grimaldi's at Palazzo too. I agree about the reasonable prices for a strip location. Sometimes, when we're not feeling like restaurant dining, we phone in an order and DH picks it up and brings it back to our room at the Palazzo. Great pizza, cold beer, and a nice salad (for me) is a nice way to relax and enjoy the great view from our suite. Love it.
We've been to the off strip location on South Rainbow. It's the only one I've been to so can't compare. Service was good but pizza sub par. I won't be going back. TomTWI Edit: Pizza is so subjective and I'm a thin crust lover. Probably why I didn't like it.
I liked the Green Valley location but our pizza was soggy! Thin crust plus too much topping equals disaster.
I live near the Eastern location, but I prefer the one at Fashion Show Mall. Their ovens are on point, and provide a crispier crust. I've also been to the one on Rainbow, it's my least favorite of the three I've frequented.
Thank you Kellee! This may be the winner, since the kid is buying something for his tournament there...
So we ended up going to the one in the Palazzo. Standard pepperoni order, but it was really good! And the fact that it was free after the birthday coupon made it great. We will be going back for sure next time we are out there.
Ok, someone please help me out here. My wife and I went to Grimaldi's for the first time on our recent trip. Maybe we went in with too high of expectations. We ordered a Mediterranean Salad to split as an appetizer, then a small (the size larger than personal), with pepperoni and onion. The salad was ok - the dressing was bland and tasteless, but I loved the olives and feta. The pizza had crispy crust but was extremely soggy. I mean there was literally water all over it (I'm guessing from wet onions), the cheese wasn't fully melted and the pepperoni wasn't really cooked. Is this unusual or to be expected? We went away incredibly disappointed. We get better pizza in the food court at Venetian and that isn't exactly great pizza. We're trying to figure out if we just had a bad experience or if Grimaldi's is just not for us - whats the hype all about?
We went in May using the birthday coupon at the Palazzo location and it was very good. The only issue was since the pizza was free and we both got a salad we left extremely full. I ended up having the three slices left the next day for breakfast which was pretty good cold. Mark
Fuzzy - My husband and I usually split the house salad (not sure if the dressing is the same) and a small pizza. I'd say your experience was not the norm, although I read another recent review that mentioned soggy pizza, so maybe something's changed. I haven't been to Grimaldi's during my last several trips. The pizza is not the best I've ever eaten, but I'd say it's better than many of the typical pizza chain places. Do you remember, were you able to charge the meal to your suite? I know in the past Grimaldi's has been one place where that wasn't possible. Thanks.
Several years ago I had Grimaldi's on Eastern with bard and his posse, and it was underwhelming. I was at the one at V/P on Monday and it was the same -- soggy centered, glumpy cheese. Twice is enough for me.
We could not either. The waitress was actually rather rude about it. When I said i wanted to put it toward the room she laughed and said the restaurant isn't in the casino and is COMPLETELY separate. I found it funny since from our table we could practically see down the stairs into the casino. Not a huge deal but my wife and I charge to the room add much add we can. Seems like this past trip we ran into more places that didn't allow it. Our biggest surprise was that kaliforno (sp?) Gem place between v and p. We got my parents a gem globe as a thanks for watching the place while we were gone and couldn't charge to room. Would have been a nice chunk of points toward platinum. Oh well.
