Anyone know where I can get this too-hard-to-cook-myself favorite? I think Hugo's Cellar serves it, but I'm not really looking to spend that much $$$.

    Thanks!

Gordon Ramsey Steak has it as its his signature dish but its $55 or so. I think you might have trouble finding it for too much less.

Per the menu, it also takes 45 minutes to prepare, so my suggestion is to plan ahead . . .

GR's TV show --MASTER CHEF-- featured this yesterday. He walked the contestants through the prep----and it is very time/effort intensive

I had it. Was terrible and soggy. Big disappointment.

Caesars Atlantic City recently opened a Gordon Ramsey Pub in the lobby area that had been Mia's Restaurant.
I've had the Beef Wellington there twice.

The first time was just a week or two after they opened.
The pastry shell was undercooked and chewy.

The second time, about a month later, it was very good.
The pastry was tender and flaky, just as it should be.

I hope that they just needed to gain some experience, and it will be good going forward.
When I get the chance, I'll try it again as a tiebreaker.

I've had the Beef Wellington a couple of times at Gordon Ramsay's Steak. Both times, the beef was perfectly cooked to a medium rare and the pastry was both tender and flaky.
Clubmaster, you should have sent it back. I hope your order was just a bad exception.

How good was the wellington here? I'm going to try it for the first time in August and was considering doing it this way to save some money.

I'm one if those guys that fear sending food back so I just let it go. I was there for my 7stars dinner and figured since I didn't "pay" for it so to speak that I'll just let it go.

I went there too but didn't try the Wellington due to my Vegas experience. I just ordered a burger which was good and my wife had the fish and chips which was nothing that you would think it would be. It was a huge piece of fish but it was very doughy so she was pealing the dough off to eat the fish.

I wish Mia's was still there. I loved that restaurant. Never had a bad meal there.

I tried the Beef Wellington and the Lobster Wellington at Ramsay Steak at Paris. I wasn't crazy about either one of them. Just didn't really like, nothing was bad about it just not my taste. Should have ordered a steak like hubby.

A few years ago, the Bellagio had it on the buffet, but a few months ago when I was there, I can't recall seeing it. There was a lame chicken wellington. I could be wrong, though.
