This does not seem to fit with what the Cosmo is. Is Willie all the popular with the younger crowd?

Anyway my wife has two free tickets to Willie, I do not. If we took them under her name, would she only be charged a gaming day for that one day? Or for the whole stay which is all booked under my account?

Also has anyone seen Willie recently? Can the 82 year old man still sing or will it be a sad waste of time?

Wow! Willie at the Cosmo! There's one for the books...

Had a coworker see him a few months ago. He said he 'talks' his songs more nowadays than he sings them. Wife and I will be going to his 4th of July 'picnic'. But not so much to see him, but to see some of the other 20 or so artists on the bill.

A legend if there ever was one. Would love to see him anywhere.

I was thinking about seeing him as well but had the same concern about how good he would be. I saw him about 10 years ago with Dylan and they were both great. Though, Dylan's shows went downhill quickly shortly thereafter.

I also see that Brian Wilson is playing a few weeks before and was thinking about checking that out. Though, I had the same concerns with him. But for free it's hard to complain much so I'll probably check out one of them if my trip coincides with their dates.

Sorry, can't help with your query.

Thanks. Agree with it being free so we may do it. I just do not my wife's future offers to be cut on account of her taking the tickets. I would just be a free thing to do to get away from gambling for a bit.

It seems like such an odd choice for the Cosmo still. I wish we were there a week earlier for Bare Naked Ladies at the Boulevard Pool.

Willie does not disappoint. I would go in a heartbeat and enjoy a legend. Don't wait for a set break as there usually is not one. Willie is having his picnic on the 4th again this year and I would be surprised if he was putting THAT on if he was not able to deliver.

It's a hipster thing. A few of the old country acts became hip late. Willie, David Allan Coe, Cash etc all became big draws for ther hipper than thou crowd.

Actually I just saw him on 5/16 at Mystic Lake Casino here in Minnesota. It was sold out and I heard tickets were $60-$70 a pop. A friend had 2 comped tickets so we decided to check it out. I really enjoyed the concert and was impressed that Willie could jam for as long as he did with no breaks (75 minutes seemed solid to me). His band was great with his sister on the piano and the crowd was really into the show in my opinion. I am 35 and could not believe the the huge mixture of people. There was really young, early 20's all the way up to mid 80's. The couple next to us was 82 and that lady was dancing and bouncing around the entire time. I only wish that my wife and I are that cool at 80+ years old! Willie ended the show with his song "Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die" and that lady next to us kept saying that she really "wanted to roll one up and smoke it" which we thought was hilarious. I think you will have a blast at his show and for free, why the hell not!

He did a tour a couple of years ago and my folks and I had second row seats for my Mom's birthday. I don't claim to know all of his songs, but the man does put on a good show. Does he fit the Cosmo demographic? Does it really matter? The man is a legend in music and still has it when it comes to performing. Seeing him live is a treat.

I can't help much on your gaming day question, but I would believe they will only show her being there for any day there is activity on her card, so if she doesn't play or use her card for anything, they wouldn't even know she was there unless her name was used to book the room and the points go on her card for it.

Thanks, the tickets would be in her name, from her card. So I think that would just be one day. She was going to play on my card to see if I can get to gold. So we did not use her offers.

I think you all convinced me it was worth it.
