    My Trip Report

It's almost time!! Thought I'd get the thread started before the final sprint to get everything ready for departure! Hopefully mods can move it to Trip Reports on Thursday when we go live~

    Background -

This trip I will be meeting my sister in Vegas, but my BFF from Vancouver will be joining us as well! I met my BFF about 12 years ago when we were working together. We've taken quick weekend trips down to the Seattle area for casino/shopping trips, had some work related travel, and she's even come to our summer place on the East coast. So, although we haven't been to Vegas together, I know she's a great travel partner and Vegas veteran herself!! We fly out together and get into Vegas early afternoon Thursday, whereas my sister will be coming in from Winnipeg and will not arrive until several hours later. Since sis stayed at home with my kiddo's my last Vegas trip, I look forward to getting some Vegas time with her, 6 months seems like a long stretch now~
We are once again staying at Palazzo. I'm still pretty new to the property and finding my way around and trying to figure out the Grazie program. So far I'm loving the location, shopping access, restaurant selection and huge slot selection. I booked this trip in with a host that had introduced herself while I was playing last trip. So far she's been quick in any emails I've sent, so hopefully all works out well. As I doubt we will be in our rooms much, I only requested a Bella suite since we've stayed in comparable at Venetian and were happy with it. We are coming in on an offer of 3 comp nights, free play and some dining credits! I'm going to TRY and keep an eye on my gaming this trip, I'm pretty horrible with tracking it. Ideally, I'm looking to see if I do 16 hours of play over the trip- just to see if it has any effect on my offers. I'm not budging on my bankroll, so it will be slot Gods willing.......

    The plans -

So far I've cancelled 2 hotel reservations, cancelled 2 restaurant reservations, and changed one dining reservation three times. Haha. Despite this, I actually have the least amount of set plans as I have ever gone in with! But, here's a few things I am planning to do:

    - Meet up with Pleepleus (always fun!) pphold (met last trip but didn't get very much time together!) & Packer (First meeting!)
    - High Limit Slot Pull on Friday
    - Try a Sinatra Smash at Wynn
    - Pool Time at Palazzo (Haven't been to their pool area before - it's going be CRAZY hot!!)
    - Remember to check out the Gold Lounge at Venetian (Never been as I forgot the last time)
    - Shopping (Do I even need to put that in the list anymore, or can we just presume it - kinda like breathing?)
    - Container Park, if nothing else than for a stop at Jinju Chocolates (Never been to either)
    - Dinner at CUT
    - Try some new dining spots, possibly at Wynn
    - Try and hit the Cosmo VMB M&G on Thursday- (will depend on sisters flight) and finally try the Verbena!!
    - Create mucho hand pay slot porn

We've agreed not to make any reservations for shows etc in advance, we will do it when there if something strikes our interest at the time. Happy to have a trip that's a bit more spontaneous and not be looking at the watch too much!

Thanks for reading~ I will do my best to keep this report updating frequently with pics! For anyone who is into numbers:

This year I've had 2 gambling trips, both were winning trips. Does good luck come in 3's??

    &

This trip also marks my 7th consecutive quarterly trip. Lucky trip #7?

Hopefully the answers are YES!! We will know by Sunday!!

    Huh. That's strange.

Starting to pack, so far I have:

    2 bathing suits
    1 cover up
    2 pair PJ's
    Robe
    4 dresses
    1 set leggings
    Pants
    Blouse

And this is what the suitcase looks like-

That's it? Hardly a corner used? At this rate I really can bring half my closet.......

I wonder what will take more space in a suitcase, my clothes for a weekend, or Pphold's bricks??

Shoes go in the zippered top section, so those don't count!!!!

It looks like you could get by just carrying on. That's what I do. I take a Travelpro spinner and a small/medium Tumi duffle. It's so nice not waiting for luggage.

Best of luck on your trip!

    Thanks for the well wishes!
I do still have some to go in, but if I do have lots of space it will likely just mean more shopping options!
I don't think I can ever get it down to just the carry-on.....wish I could!!!

I can understand that. Carrying on has made travel such much less stressful for me. Of course, my luggage only consists of a few pairs of shorts, a few shorts, and another pair of shoes. I don't really shop in Vegas, and if I do it's for a watch.

The silly thing is that I live in Vancouver, which has amazing shopping. There's not really too much I HAVE to shop for that I can only get in Vegas so I could make my life easier. However, I actually use the shopping as a gambling diversion, it's usually cheaper to shop than gamble!!

True! Ideally I like to shop after a win, that way I have something to show for it and don't mind losing the original BR. Sometimes it works, other times- well, not so much!!
