There is a limitation of 3 midweek rewards per player. Since compared with the Mlife offers, these Station Casino offers seemed very liberal, I wondered what that meant. Was it 3 a year? I called Palace Station and the clerk there
(844-266- 0048) told me that the cap would go away on a second trip. So, I'm going in September and again in November and I can expect to use rewards for available nights even if I exhaust 3 in September. The calendar is only open through June, so perhaps that is how they control folks overusing these rewards. However, it was good to know that if I did find the calendar suppoted three in September, I could still use some in November.
I also asked if any of the rewards ever applied to the Courtyard rooms and they don't. So the weekend becomes still pretty pricey at fifty percent of the rack rake for tower.
On the other hand, every negative review I have read is negative because the reviewer stayed in the Courtyard. I think I'll pick the tower most of the time although I am solo and I am pretty tolerant of scruffy rooms when that is the best value.

If anyone has an experience booking using MyVegas Stations, I'd love the input and thoughts. Some poster on another thread did go to RedRock using MyVegas and had good value and a great time. As a bus rider that is a bit much, but I might go out to Sunset Station after a stay downtown because the Henderson Downtown Express bus gets there in record time, skipping almost everything in between. Sunset does not have a live poker room, but I think there is one in one of the little casinos not far away, and I also think the birding area is very near there. I don't think Shyline is much of a bus ride. Also, I have a nephew in Henderson too.

    Well, just thinking out loud.

We'll be staying at Red Rock in late June with 3 nights from myVEGAS. In our case I called the hotel directly with the myVEGAS information and got all three nights with no problem at all. Nice thing about the Station award is that the room in fully comped, no resort fees or any other charges. I've read that many of the MGM room awards are for the room rate only and still charge the resort fees, still a bargain price for the room but not nearly as nice as a fully comped room.

Thanks. I actually did not know that and it will make a difference. I wonder about the 50% off weekend rewards? I'll ask when I book. The resort fee at Palace Station is less than the Mlife resort fees, but that Red Rock is huge. I loved the Red Rock buffet. My son and I used MyVegas rewards for a 2 for 1 there last trip. I restrict my diet and they offered more interesting roasted veggies than I've seen on any buffet, and I ate three sugar free desserts, all of them truly sugar free. I don't generally rent a car in Vegas, but I might be tempted to do three nights out there on MyVegas. I love hiking Red Rock.

Let us know how all this goes when you get back and if you don't mind tip me off that you have posted a TR with a PM so I don't miss it.

What? So you can use all three room rewards in a row? :D Or two room rewards and one for the buffet? And you start over with 3 rewards each trip? I've heard really good things about Red Rock and GVR. I guess I might have to figure out where they are.

There is actually no specific limit on the number of Station rewards that you can use. You are allowed to use two rewards in any rolling 24 hour period. So, for our 5 night trip we could effectively use a total of 10 rewards. They had no trouble accepting our three room rewards, qualifies as one reward per day. We were also allowed to attach them to the marketing offer on the web site. We could have gotten a total of three nights through marketing, but scheduling here at home dictated that we could only use two.

Through the benefit of myVEGAS awards and the marketing offer we are saving a bit over $600 based on rack rates for the room.

I don't know if the reward has changed, but currently on the myvegas stations reward it states max 3 rewards per person. 2 in 1 day is still there. Don't remember seeing the 3 max before. So for 2 people it seems to be 6 according to the reward. Correct me if I am wrong. And does anybody have a clue when they will update past June. We are going in September and undecided on our last 2 days(10 total). Was going to do MonteCarlo after 6 downtown and 2 MB(myvegas). But if no resort fee, it is a no brainer.

I really figure this is just too good to believe, and it may not be or if it is, it may not last. When I called the Palace Station guy, he was very helpful and told me I might get up to 5 nights in a row in September, but it would depend on the availability calendar. Two of those would be weekend 50%nights, but 5 nights for about $120 total is pretty decent when a weekend is covered and a free buffet can be punched in the formula as well. He also said that while I had very little playing history (one day for a couple hours) at Palace Station, just having a Player's Card might reduce the price of rooms that I might want to buy that were not available for MyVegas reward bookings in order to fill out my 5 day plan.
I just called today and asked about the frequency and the room booking people at Palace Station said I could do it again on my November trip, and they said I could, but I suppose it may be that MyVegas will not let us buy more than three hotel night rewards and the bookers don't know that.
It really does not make any sense when MLife is offering just 1 reward. But my next trip is next fall, so the whole deal may dissolve by then. Once folks who are not strip focused get wind of this as a way to maximize LP value, there will be some pressure on the Stations system, especially when folks who think they have enough LP's for a room find out that most MLife calendars are a wasteland of white lightly salted with a few rooms here and there just to make it look like they are still rewarding play and perhaps this has happened after the players have revisited day after day, hoping to manage to buy a reward that is more often "sold out" than available.
I intend to go in September and seed Palace Station with play, only not quarter play, just dimes in full pay VP. Still, I'll play for many hours so perhaps I'll get some recognition. Then I hope they send me some offers. If you want to talk this over with someone, try this number and see what they say. I think it is right or they can connect you to the right section. 1-702-367-2411. Just like the buses, I think it helps if more than one person collects the information.
I have five days to book at the beginning of November and I'm thinking I might rent a car, go out to Red Rock for three nights and then to Green Valley Ranch for two. The no resort fee deal alone pays for the rental car. I have never stayed at either place. The buffets don't always work for me with MyVegas because they are 2 for 1 and I go solo, but the Station casino buffet prices are cheap anyway.
I'd say it pays to jump on this sooner rather than wait and think it will be there later..

I had to wait until March to get my dates in June. When the June calendar popped up on my "boarding pass" web site I made the call. I have since rechecked the calendar and now find that 3 of my 5 nights show sold out! The dates do fill quickly so reserve early as possible.

My June and Sept. trips are already taken care of for rooms. Have Boyd's and TR on both, so I don't know that I'll be using anything from myVegas either trip, especially since Mlife is being so darn stingy. I'm hoping to go again in December, so I'm thinking about saving up all my LPs and maybe getting 2-3 nights at RR or GVR if the room rewards are still available. They both sound really nice.

So many people mention that you need a car if you stay at either. I've read that they have airport and strip shuttles available. Is that true? Or, is there a reason I wouldn't want to depend on them for transportation?

I know Red Rock has shuttles to the strip and airport and believe that Green Valley does too. The hours are limited and they run at specific times. We rent a car as we enjoy frequenting the outlying properties and want the freedom to come and go as we please. With a car we can go downtown, the strip or any where else we desire.

Thanks KazooTom and eaglejohn. Sounds good! :) I really like not having to pay for transportation to/from the airport.

I am sure you would enjoy your stay at either property. GVR rooms are a more traditional design, where RR rooms are more modern. Both are very nice and the staff is great at both.

Hi Dewey, how is the quality of the Palace Station Tee shirt? Where does the HDX stop downtown. I catch that BHX for 1 stop when I do my laundry at the Busy Bee.

Is there a calendar that you can actually view with the available dates or do you have to call?

Have to call. But to get a good idea if your date is available, just go to the property site and look at prices on calendar. If normal, you are probably OK. If really high, probably not.
