do you play where you stay or move around?

I think a lot of people like to play at the casino they're staying at. You build better comps that way but we like to move around, esp if we're not winning. Still play more at the place we're staying at as we start there for the day and finish there.

I put the majority of play where I stay only because I'm comped, but I do move around.

My wife and are CET players, but low rollers. We go 3-4 times a year, stay for 3-5 nights. My cap is about $700 per day, she's just there to play some penny slots and $5 craps, so she's capped at more like $200 per day. Even with these low limits, we are able to move around to all the CET properties and play a variety of games at a variety of places. We still get enough points/comps so that we haven't paid for a room in over five years. I'm pretty sure CET allows you to accumulate your tier credits over their properties from day-to-day.

I will say we rarely play at non-CET houses. Once a year we go to Fremont St. and play some there just for fun.

About 80-85% of my playing time is at the casino where I'm staying.

Play where we stay. If I'm getting comped rooms/food/etc. it's only proper to play at that property.

If you're a whale, its a whole different ball game in terms of the level of comps you get, etc. For us, we're so used to moving around. The place we win one trip may be totally different from the place we win the next time. We're happy if we can get free room nights and our meals covered, which we pretty much do.

Like the other CET players, I move around to their other properties a little. Since you can accumulate points at all of them, I don't believe it matters where you play (as a low roller). I do get some comped and/or cheaper rooms.
I will also play a little at other properties to see what offers come in.
I did get Palazzo comped one year doing this. When I stayed there, I probably played more there than in any other year. However, it wasn't enough apparently, as the comped rooms changed into $169 rooms on future offers.

I long ago stopped chasing comps and I spread my play around based on a number of factors.

Depends on the type of trip.

When my wife comes with, I concentrate the majority of my gambling where we are staying. She doesn't gamble much, so we spend the day site seeing, visiting various attractions, dining, shopping, and usually seeing a show in the evening. We may stop and gamble a little bit throughout the day, but not much. At the end of the day when my wife is ready to pass out, I spend most of the night playing at home base.

If it is a solo trip, I spend most of my time moving around to many different casinos, wherever the best blackjack tables are. If I am still awake after running around all day, I may play at my home base for a couple hours before turning in for the night.

I don't gamble enough to warrant comp rooms so I just play where ever I am having good luck at.

But then I usually like to stay at the Cal but play at the MSS craps tables. can't beat 20x odds versus 2x odds that they have at the Cal. I will play at the Cal if I'm lucky, otherwise I'm off to play elsewhere.

They're the highest of high rollers. As in potentially betting the average american's salary or more on a single hand.

Almost the exact same as me and my wife. Except we will usually spend an entire day of our trip downtown. The rest of the time we hop CET properties. We'll be staying Cosmo the next 2 trips as the rooms were comped for no apparent reason, but will be gambling mostly at CET.

I bounce around during the night... usually I start out in my home casino in the afternoon. Go get ready, eat dinner wherever about 7 or 8. Bounce from place to place. Get back "home" between 2-4 AM, gamble there til 6 or 7. Sleep, repeat. Pool would be in the early afternoon.

Since the Boyd properties are generous with their room comps to even a low roller like me, I make sure I give them enough play to keep receiving offers. It doesn't hurt that I actually like their casinos. I spend one day on the strip and try to hit a couple new places each trip. It doesn't matter to me what they are. If I do receive a night somewhere through myVegas, I'll always play there too.

I tend to do the bulk of gambling at where I'm stopping which is TI recently, but I do have a wander around and will gamble in other casino's mostly MGM properties.

We definitely bounce around. I do like having a "home base" of sorts, but that generally means staying at a place with what I consider to be favorable conditions. On the strip that is becoming more rare, so invariably we end up hitting up different places; Preferably downtown and M-Life casinos, and we tend avoid Total Rewards places for gaming (even though we will stay there).

Well, I guess avoid is a strong word.. but I certainly take it into account.

I mostly gamble at my home casino, but will wander around and play in pretty much every casino I walk into. In fact, I'd probably play on the sidewalks if they had tables and slots along the walk. Hmm, maybe a business idea.

I could get good comps if I tethered myself to several resorts but the flexibility to move around far outweighs playing the comp game. I'm sure comps are fine for a lot of people here, and more power to them, but I prefer to do what I want to do when I want to do it and not have to worry about X amount of play anywhere in particular.

That being said I always get a nice Rush Tower room at the GN but I probably only give them about 10% of my play on any given trip. For me there's just so many places on the strip and downtown that I like to go to that I don't want to have to devote so much play at one or several resorts.

    To each his own.....

We also gamble about 80% in our home casino where we are comped just because it's only the right thing to do. The remainder is spent on the other casinos we visit to test the waters. Another reason we stick close to home base is because we can get as drunk as we wish then stagger to bed and not having to worry about the outside world ripping off my huge winnings while coming back to "home" LOL...
