It's probably due to the situation Atlantic City is in, but they are STUFFING comps down your throat in Atlantic City vs Vegas. I played craps for 10 minutes, I got 2 free buffets, I got a $75 dining comp in the morning and I didn't even play at that casino. I was there the whole weekend, and didn't pay for any food, and I played 1.5 or maybe 2 hours of craps.

    On to Vegas:

I only get comped at Excalibur, which is funny, because I normally stay at Paris or Mirage. If I am not using MyVegas, I always get denied comps.

Anyone on the east coast agree with this?

IMHO Atlantic City has always been much more generous with comps than Las Vegas (I play mostly CET).

Interesting I find the opposite for rooms. Comped Weekend rooms are easy to come by for CET via the rate calendar for me, but AC is almost never comped. Weekdays are a different story since AC is more of a weekend destination...

I agree with you. I can almost always get a weekend room in Vegas, CET or M-Life props. I'll get random Fridays at CET in AC, but Saturdays come once, maybe twice, a year. Other comps, maybe it's about equal. I don't get a lot of FP/MP, but my return to Borgata netted me $300 in match play, 2-4 buffets each month, show tickets, basic WC and Borgata rooms Sunday-Thursday. Golden Nugget offered me $45 total for May and June, BOGO buffets, and $10 off the rooms. With the exception of Bally's (who cares, anyway, right?), CET properties give me just about a decent shake with comps. Not great, but not a blank like some locals I frequent the same amount as AC. But that's another topic.

In Vegas, I get the occasional resort credit, from $25 to $200, and FP/MP offers hovering around $50 for the visit. The kicker is getting those comped rooms any day of the week.

I find comps in AC to be tighter also.
Like Vegas though, where you stay makes a difference.
I was at SkySuites at Aria last week and was comped in a suite 4 nights plus all my F+B was picked up.

Staying at the Borgata in AC Memorial Day weekend and the host said she can only give me 2 nights comped and third night casino rate in a Water Club room.

The demise of several hotels in AC has created more demand for the remaining nice ones.
Borgata is sold out every weekend and often during the week in the summer.

I get tons of comps for AC with low roller play. Currently, I've got freeplay, free gifts, free buffets, and three nights of comped rooms. It actually kind of astonished me, but I take advantage of it whenever I can.

My AC comps are a complete joke. I just came back from Vegas 5 nights comped at Caesars Augustus tower with $300 FP. My FP offers in AC is for $4. Yes I said $4. Needless to say I don't set foot inside any CET properties in AC.

For AC it depends a lot on the time of year and the day of week. Remember that people aren't planning vacations to AC the same way they are to Vegas, so trying to get something on the weekend is much, much more difficult in AC than in Vegas, and summer in AC is a bit nicer than summer in Vegas.
