I was recently approved for a $10k line of credit at a Caesars property. I have a couple of questions that I hope you folks can assist me with:

    1) If I want to go to a different Caesars property and gamble, can I take some of those funds with me to another property? I understand that I can't access the LOC from a different property, but if I have some funds from an advance taken can I take them somewhere else or should I just bring some cash to take to the other properties? Of course I can, but is it frowned upon or do they make it difficult?

    2) I am probably a 90% table player and understand how to access the LOC at the table, however if I want to play video poker or slots how does that work? Do I go to the cage and get a ticket?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    1) no idea about CET but that's frowned upon at MGM.

You can go to the cage and ask for cash to play slots. You'll sign a marker at the cage.
If you're talking about taking cash to another property against front money, that shouldn't be an issue.
If you want to take money against markers to another CET property......frowned upon.

Once you have a line setup with one property it is very easy to get a line setup at a sister property. If you are going to go to another casino I recomend cash to bring over instead of chips. They will verify high denomination chips before converting.

For my Caesars loc I only take cash out from the cage to use it however I please. You sign a marker and they give you cash. No big deal at all.

Are there minimums that need to be withdrawn? $1k increments or is that too low?

    genius!

oh, except for that part where you take that cash somewhere else and spend/lose it.

then they notice that you owe your entire line, but you didn't lose anything at their casino.

then they shut your line down.

    I've taken markers for $500.
As Shifter said..........if you take cash from the cage and don't play at Caesars...........credit won't be okay with it.

Don't try that at MGM Grand. I took out a marker on the morning before I left and didn't get to use it all before I left. (Use it all = play it once through) My host called me the next day and asked me what happened, because they didn't see play/losses for the marker amount. She wasn't pissed, but it was a "warning". I told her that I'd send a check ASAP.

What amount of play relative to amount taken out are they looking for so it doesn't appear you're just trying to float cash? Like says you take out a $1k marker for the sake of making math and scaling easier. I could see where often a $1k bankroll may not generate a $1000 theo.

it's not theo they look at, it's coin-in.

if you take a 1k marker, they expect to see 1k coin-in that day.

Thanks everyone, seriously not trying to game the system. I just typically play at a few different properties and since I will be there next week, really don't want or need to try and get lines set up at all of them. I am just trying to determine how much cash I will need for the other casinos while most of my play will be where my LOC is. I will just bring cash for other places, will just be nice not to have to bring the entire bankroll for a change.

Thanks again for all the insight.

Once you have the line in place, it should be quick to set up lines at other CET properties.

Ok cool. That'll be easy. Finally taking a dip with my first marker this trip. Starting off really small to get started. Would 100 hands of BJ, roulette, etc at $10 count as the coin in so to speak?

You're expected to pay back the marker before the end of your trip unless you lose it.

You don't have to play any certain amount.

You just are not supposed to take the chips or cash and use it to play somewhere else or spend it on stuff etc.

Easy enough. I'm just over thinking it since I'm new to markers. Thanks for the reassurance.

If I take a marker/markers at a table and I'm up when I color up, I'll always buy back the marker/markers before I leave the table. Sometimes I end up having a lot of chips in my safe. I may be short of buying back a marker when I leave a table. My host has asked if I was holding chips. They don't like you to keep taking markers if you are holding chips.

Only because that helps limit your potential losses.

Keep chips in your safe and you can't lose them at the tables.

But there's no real rules about doing that.

If your host really busts your balls about that you need a new host.
