    Hello all.
Been away from Vegas for over a year, resetting my tier level points and changing my Platinum status to Gold. Received multiple offers like 4 nights tower suite at MGM with limo, freeplay and resort credit, similar with higher freeplay/resort credit from Mandalay/Delano. I'll be going in June but really don't want to wait in taxi lines. If I call does anyone have the power to issue me back my Platinum status? Or perhaps it is time to bite the bullet and build a CET rep.... Thanks everyone!

If all you are worrying about is waiting in the taxi lines, your host or just ask VIP and they can have a house car/limo ready for you. Your card level does not matter.

Or you can pick up one of dozens of platinum cards left at the slot machines. Just flash it at the taxi stand.

I've had a host give me a CET diamond card with my name on it a few years back. I asked more recently and he said they've cracked down and he couldn't anymore but guessing that was just b.s.

Do you have an old Platinum card hanging around?? I've yet to have anyone check my card when flashing it at the Taxi stand.

    This is CET, but.........

I've had my card questioned at both Valet and the gym. With CET cards/tier level expire March 31. Both times it was the first week of April and I hadn't picked up a new card at a TR booth yet.

If you have old cards, just use those. I usually give them out to friends and there's no issues. Just flash, not like they check ID or date or anything.

    This (these?)

I was platinum until '13 and then drifted away from MGM properties. The past few years I've been whatever color is the lowest, but they never sent me a new card. So when I stayed at Aria and Delano earlier this month, the only card I had was my old platinum one. It worked just like a "normal" platinum card everywhere I used it - gave me the platinum discount at the sundry shops and worked for the platinum/noir cab lines.

I assumed that a pit boss would eventually take it and give me a new card. But they didn't.

There are definitely a few Platinum cards lying around here with my name on them, hopefully I can get away with those until I earn back a legit one! Thanks

I use my card with an expired date. It doesn't matter. When they check it, they see that it's still valid.

When valet is full, they will still let Diamond/7 Stars in. They can't check the validity of the card at the curb. The gym just writes down the card # and checks ID to make sure it matches and then has you sign.....they don't swipe the card.

The expired card doesn't make any difference at a table.
