from Gaggles re: buddy in Vegas last night:

    Gaggles
    This text from Big Sack:

Wow! Fucking sullys lowered the pay table on bonus poker from 6 5. Now they're only paying 150 for any quad! No higher payouts for 2-4 or A's. This could be last year of diamond. I'll stay downtown and pay for a cab! Mother fuckers!
    That's brutal and is unplayable

I just can't imagine this is accurate?!?!?!? But per Macker his contacts at Bally's confirm, their tips are being gutted like the paytables as its so bad everyone is bitching. Any further confirmation, specifics from any VMBer's currently/recently in Vegas?

Changes like that make it so it isn't even Bonus Poker any more.

It's true. I was there two week's ago at Sully's. Bonus Poker and JOB are now essentially the same game. I walked.

Yep, I can confirm this was the case at both the sportsbook bar and heart bar at PH a few weeks ago. Both JOB and "BP" are 6/5, only difference between the two is that JOB pays 125 units for a quad at max bet, whereas "BP" pays 150.

Wow, that is really, really bad. Definitely time to change up where we play and stay.

This actually isn't a further gutting than what has been reported here earlier. It was this way when I was there in February at Caesars Palace. The problem is it was a corporate move and many of the CET properties have followed suit. The only properties I have yet to hear of a downgrade is linq and Rio. I'll find out about the linq tomorrow. Please still have 7/5 Triple Boner Plus (97.67%)! [emoji120]

As for the new downgraded paytables, it is a little funny that we're mostly complaining about the best bar top game remaining. [emoji35]

This version of "bonus poker" isn't always bad either. Full pay is 35/8/5 (99.66%), which is higher payback than 9/6 Jacks by 0.12%. I played this game at Hollywood St. Louis on Thursday for quarters.

Here is the full CET downgraded bartop list, iirc.

    30/6/5 Bonus (96.18%)
    7/5 DDB (95.71%)
    6/5 Boner Deluxe (95.36%)
    10/6/4/2/2/1 ACE$ Bonus (95.36%)
6/5 JoB (95.00%) redundant game... always play Bonus instead
    7/5 TDB (94.92%)
    25/10/4/3/2/2 Deuces (94.82%)
    8/5/4 DB (94.18%)

I think that's all of them.

I'll be there this weekend. I'll check most triply play and up too include STP. I know as far as bar tops go, a few weeks ago TAG still had 8/5 DDB.

The Mirage has mislabeled their Bonus Poker for years.
All the BP machines are really just JOB, no bigger payout for any quads.

Yep, and 30/6/5 Bonus is also their best 25c bartop, but fortunately I think the rest of MLife (except maybe Excalibur) has at least "traditional" 6/5 Bonus for quarter bartops. CET...pickins are looking slim now.

I spoke with a bartender from Sully's online the other day and he said its bad for him(I'm sure a few will guess who it is). The reduced paytables are even keeping the regs away he said. He told me it's down to 7/5 for DDB.

I've been watching the updates from VPFree and it looks like they've systematically gutted all the lower denom paytables. Flamingo, Harrah's, Paris, Bally's. Cromwell never had anything good. Planet Ho too, all in the past few weeks.

Didn't check bars but the 7/5 Bp that vpfree2 says is still at linq is now 6/5.

I'll be back the first week of May. I intend to speak the only language the corporate types understand - I'll be voting with my wallet. Like someone else on here said, probably the last year of Diamond for me...I'll be taking my play to places that at least give me a chance.

All 25c and 50c 7/5 BP have been downgraded. vpFREE2 was just updated. By the way, they welcome updates submitted by people using the site.

Rats. I have a lot of good memories of playing 7/5 BP at adjoining machines with my wife at Bally's and PH, and now they're all gone. One of the reasons we're staying at PH in July, instead of the originally-booked Aria (besides saving $1000...) was because I enjoy taking the elevators down at PH and walking those few steps to all the (former) 7/5 machines. We're not going to change this reservation (I still need to save $1000), but I suppose we'll just have to take all our VP action (instead of about half of it) to Ellis Island...
