I have a trip planned for July that has evolved into a split stay(not sure if that's a common thing or not) between Vdara(1 night) and Aria(2 nights). We're driving in from LA. I know that Vdara has valet parking, and that Aria offers both self and valet parking.

Since the hotels seem so close, should I just park once and walk over our bags between the two? Should I get a head start and park at Aria and walk bags over to Vdara? Or should I just move my car according to the hotel nights? I know I'm probably overthinking this, but any advice would be great. :nworthy:

Aria self parking garage isn't really that convenient to the front check-in desk and is a hike through the casino to the elevators. The valet drop off is right at the front desk at Aria but the pick up is right near the entrance to the parking garage so the whole place is a hike. To park at the Aria garage and walk out the back door to Vdara isn't that long a walk, depends on how much exercise you want. Most people walk miles anyway while in Vegas. The only hassle would be dragging your bags around.

Personally I'd just use the valet in both places.

Personally, I use the North Valet at Aria once my stay is established. Sure main valet is a must for initial check in as it is much more convenient for check in. But after that, the North Valet suits my needs well. This is a 90 second walk from Vdara front door. One other thing to note: Vdara does not allow for call ahead valet service. You must present yourself and ticket. This is presumably due to the traffic cluster that can happen at busy times. Aria does allow for call ahead service. Both Main and North valet are always super fast.
Back to your original dilemma. By the time you walk your bags from the elevator bank to the main valet at Aria, you could, with maybe just a few more footsteps at the most (never measured but in my head it feels pretty close to the same distance), walk the bags to Vdara via the North entrance.
Should you choose to self-park at Aria, the garage is a long walk from Vdara. Wouldn't do that.

Thanks for the advice. It does seem like valet for both parts of my stay might be the easier route to go. I'm sure we're probably never going to move our car except for switching between the hotels since we have no problem just walking up/down/around the strip.

Good advice on Aria north valet. That's also a good taxi line secret. Aria and Vdara are so close together, in my mind they're the same hotel, just different towers. You'll be fine parking at one and walking to the other.

Heck. Aria North Valet can even save your bacon on nights when Harmon/Koval is a CLUSTER due to some event at Cosmo. It's not a bad walk and every once in awhile the Cosmo porte cochere is just a mess.
