I stayed last time in a Premium room, but I can't say I noticed much. What do those of you who have stayed in both think about the cheapest versus the premium. Just newer furnishings?

Dewey, here are some pictures showing slight differences in the room. The bathroom looks a little more modern in the premium.

We stayed in the regular room last time and were perfectly satisfied. Booked the same room for next month.

I've stayed in both...I wouldn't pay for the "upgrade".

Agreed, both are nice for the price.

I've also stayed in both and probably wouldn't have known which was "premium" if not told! I have a weekend offer I intend to make use of in April or May and will choose premium, but that's only because it's free. Both type rooms are quite nice.

It used to be one type had tub/shower combo and the other only showers.

Not sure of that now though, because it's over a year since we last stayed at Gold Coast. We thought that both types were just fine.

I've stayed in the old rooms and you will lose your knee caps if you are sitting on the toilet and the bathroom door opens! I think the redesign of the premium rooms was well done.

My deluxe room had a sliding door, not one that swung in.

I have always had sliding door bathrooms, never one that swung in. The rooms kind of remind me of the Orleans rooms, just a little smaller. We have had both tub/shower and just shower. The ones with the shower only are the ones that have the water land outside of the shower onto the bathmat. No doors or curtains. I don't know if that is considered a premium room or not.

The premium has a tub. It's so small it's not worth paying more for. Decor is slightly different but same aesthetic.
