Made it home Wednesday and e-mailed the host to say thanks and for confirmation on what we owe.

Usually I hear back that night or the next day at the latest saying there is no charge for any of the meals charged to the room.

As of today, I have yet to hear back. Lets say the host is on vacation and doesn't reply until next week what happens?

Usually all our meals charged to the room are comped, but if the host is away the hotel is going to charge our card.

Could the host come back next week and still say "Oh, I was away but don't worry all is comped."????
If so will they reimburse the credit card???
    How does that work???

Your host can still comp you after your credit card has been charged. You will see a credit go through on your credit card.
I often check out (actually, I just leave the hotel) on a day when my host is off. The hotel charges my credit card, but host will credit me back.

Yes that happens all the time. You just get a refund.

My other concern is that the host has yet to respond.
His response is usually that same day.
I called his cell and left a voice mail asking for a callback as well but have yet to hear back.
What is the longest you have to wait before the host addressed the bill?

A few days if he's out of town, but I know that in advance.

What hotel is this if I might ask? You can call VIP and ask if host is on duty, too.

PH. I will probably do this by Wednesday if I have not heard back as I know he is off Sunday/Monday.
There is another host with CET that I talk to and may ping him to see if he has any info.

Left two voice mails on his cell and two e-mails and yet to hear back.
Contacted a host at Caesars who stated the host is "in the system" what ever that means.

Don't want to be pushy but at the same time would like to know what is my final bill (if anything).

Can you tell if your credit card was charged or credited back? If your host histically comped your bill and your play was consistant, it's fair to think your charges were taken care of. Bad on your host for ignoring you.

    Thanks for the offer.
My host did finally reply and supposedly addressing the bill. I am assuming based on the replies in this thread that there will be a reimbursement on the card and will monitor it as it usually takes a day or so.
