I have booked Palace Tower. Is it worth up grading to Augustus or Octavis.
If not what Should I ask for Palace rooms. Certain floor . We want a king bed with strip view and something better than standard room. Celebrating my birthday.

    Thanks

Palace Tower is pretty nice. You can always ask for an upgrade but I wouldn't pay a lot extra for it.

Having stayed in both Palace and Augustus towers, I experienced a small amount of advantages with the upgrade. The only one that was important with me was the side Augustus entrance with their own valet. It was a real time saver and a nice convenience for our trip. The morning complimentary coffee/tea & rolls was also nice. I cannot comment on the Octavius since we've never stayed there. If I ever stay at Caesars again, I will make every attempt to get upgraded but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I didn't get it for the Palace tower room was just as nice especially in the summertime because the pool is conveniently located. Good luck!

I haven't stayed in Palace Tower for years, so I don't know the condition at this time. I've stayed in Augustus twice in the last month and both had paint peeling issues in the bathroom above the tub and the beds are awful now. Augustus is in need of renovation at this point, in my opinion.

We've stayed in Octavius a few times in the months prior to these last two Augustus stays and that is where I will insist on staying from now on. Hands down, the best beds at Caesars Palace.

As far as using the Augustus/Octavius (The Laurel Collection) side entrance, unless you're 7 Stars you can no longer use it. The only check in on that side is now the diamond/7 Stars registration room. They do have cookies, coffee, and water out, but you must be diamond or 7 Stars.

About the Augustus entrance. Where is it from the main entrance from the main registration?

I stayed at Caesar's over a year ago and I thought the room was pretty decent.

It's located off Flamingo road south of the main entrance.

Exactly. It is ONLY for limos and 7 Stars now, though. I think taxis, too.

I've only stayed in the Augustus tower. If you want a view of the fountains at Bellagio this is your best bet.

Thanks everyone . Anyone stay in a Palace tower room and if so any floor I should ask for? Do these rooms have strip views? The last time I stayed in this tower was 10 years ago and I remember we had a king bed and the shower was built so that you can enter from both ends. Also there was a small powder room when you entered. Was this a suite?

My son stayed in Palace room last year and I have to admit it was nicer than I thought it would be. We were in Octavious and room sizes were comparable but Octavious bed was much nicer and it had a jetted tub, (not sure Palace did). Walk to Palace was shorter and elevators were much closer to the casino. If I were asking for an upgrade, I think I'd try for the Octavious.

This change to only limos & 7 Stars must have occurred within the past six months. Too bad for I really enjoyed the convenience last year but I'll get used to it for I'm a long way from 7 Stars tier status besides our next stay will be at PHO. Thanks for the update Justmare.

No taxis. We tried to grab a cab to the airport at that entrance and were sent to the main entrance. I don't really understand the reasoning as they still have a good deal of attendants out there.

Palace has jetted tubs. It has all the same amenitiies as Augustus save the TV in the bathroom. I would shoot for a pool view on a higher floor. There is no real view from this tower.I don't think they are putting as much effort in upkeep as the Laurel Towers but the rooms in Palace are nice and the pool is just off it's elevators.

I asked CP about the Augustus separate check in and they said,

In regards to your email, we no longer have the check-in desk for the located in the Augustus Tower. You will just go to our main check-in area now.

The palace tower has these great rooms they call mini suites that have a his and her bathroom connected by this great 2 person shower. I would ask for this as an upgrade. There are no strip view rooms really in that tower. You may get a view north of the parking garage with the Mirage in the distance but the pool view is gorgeous. If you like spending time at the pool there is no better tower to stay in. The elevators are right a reform the pool entrance.
