My husband and I are going to Vegas in June. Right now we have a comped room for the week at Bally's. The room is an Indigo Tower Classic.
I was checking the calendar and we can now get a Jubilee King room comped. Should we switch?? I'm not sure of the difference in these two rooms. Thanks in advance for any suggestions:thumbsup:

I've recently stayed in both the Indigo and Jubilee towers. The Jubilee room is newer and nicer, although, one draw back is the noise from the clubs during the weekends. If you're ok with club music till around 4am then I'd suggest the Jubilee room and maybe just ask for a high floor. Otherwise, the Indigo tower isn't that bad.

Both rooms are fine, but the Jubilee rooms are recently renovated and much nicer. Also, they have a mini fridge and coffeemaker, it that is important. The Jubilee rooms only have a shower, no tub, if that is important. Indigo rooms have the standard tub/shower combo. I have seen many people talk about the noise in the Jubilee Tower, but the 2 times I stayed there, I didn't really hear much. I guess it depends on what part of the tower you are in.

If you face the new bazaar, you will hear music...constantly.

With the indigo tower, there is at least some hope of a quiet room. Also when we stayed there two weeks ago, only one functioning elevator for the 14 lowest floors for the Jubilee tower. Hopefully that's fixed by now...they couldn't pull it off in 4 days though.

Thanks so much for all replies. I think that we will stick with the Indigo tower. My husband is a very lite sleeper and I don't was to risk the noise keeping him awake. We've always been happy with the Indigo tower in the past.

I don't know how comfortable you are with the $20 trick, but every time I've stayed at Bally's--including last week--it's gotten me an upgrade from the Indigo Classic to the Indigo "Junior Suite," which is bigger and, apparently, nicer.

Yeah, if you are on a COMP, just ask for a jr. suite on one of the "Platinum floors" I believe they call it. I have always gotten a free upgrade just by asking. Really nice for couples as it has a separate make up desk type deal for the ladies to get ready.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've never tried the $20 trick. Maybe I'll get my nerve up and give it a try this trip. Captainron, I've noticed from reading your posts on here that you stay with Bally's a lot. Have you stayed in the Jubilee rooms? If so, what did you think? Thanks!!

Yes I have stayed in the Jubilee rooms. We were COMP a King premium on our last trip. We did the early check in and ended up with two queens. I actually prefer the Jubilee tower as I spend a lot of time at the casino bar playing VP and its a short walk. I really liked the room, the bed was super comfortable. I noticed on a Friday night we got back to the room and you could hear some music thumping from Chateau, they were having something big as I saw a big line when I cut thru Paris. It was not loud enough to be a bother though, once I closed the drapes and turned the TV on I didn't hear it anymore. I would try to get that room again if I could and this is after years of staying North Tower (Indigo) in the jr. suites. Jr. suite is a bit misleading, its just a slightly bigger room with a few extra features. I will attach a couple pics. This was room 5726.

I saw in an earlier post that you had not been to Vegas for May long for a couple of years. Does that mean you weren't in Vegas at all for the last couple of years?

Just wondering if you are still getting good rates on the rate calendar after such a break?

You didn't see that from me. I go to LV 3 times a year and have since 2008. Got me confused with someone else, if I don't go to LV for 3 years its because I am dead.

Ditto to what Ron said. 2 years ago the front desk upgraded us to a junior suite (comped) with out us asking when I checked in at the platinum desk. Last year we went for the jubillee tower. Other than newer, we weren't impressed much. (A lot of reds and golds and ....). Room seemed smaller than the regular Indigo tower rooms also. Next week we are back in the Indigo ( hopefully upgraded to junior suite) for 5 nights 3/19-24. Closer to the sportsbook ( a must for March madness), walkway to Paris and craps tables . And the wife likes the quiet atmosphere!

I am going back to the Indigo Tower in Sept. Although I like the location of the South for my winter trips, I also really like being able to access pool without walking thru casino and you obviously cannot do that from the Jubilee tower.

I've modified the trick slightly. I don't just slip a twenty between the credit card and driver's license. I'll hold it in my hand, visibly, or just put it on the counter while talking to the front desk clerk. I'll ask nicely if they have any complimentary upgrades--perhaps specifically mentioning the kind of room I'm looking for.

If they manage an upgrade, that becomes a $20 tip. If they can't, it just goes back in the wallet. I agree that to call it a junior "suite" is misleading, but I think it's worth an extra $20 per trip, compared to the regular room.

As a light sleeper also, I did not like the Jubilee room I had last year. The "thumping" from the nightclub at Paris was enough to make it hard to sleep. We stay at Ballys almost every trip and have for years. I don't need a view, so I usually ask for an Indigo Tower room that faces away from the strip, toward Ellis Island. It is much quieter and you don't get the road noise.

I agree with Ron about the junior suites although the term suite is a misnomer. They are a nicer room and usually the ones I have gotten in the past are on a higher floor. I have never asked for one, it was just given to me at check-in

I'm curious what floors you guys are getting in the Jubilee Tower, to get the noise?
We were on #71 in early december, and we didn't hear anything...I think the lower floors absorb more of the noise...

Thanks everyone, I called earlier and changed the reservation to the Jubilee tower. I'm going to ask for a room on a higher floor and hope for the best. My husband says he doesn't mind either way and I'd really like to give the newer rooms a try:thumbsup:. Someone mentioned that the rooms seemed smaller, is this true? One of the reasons we like to stay at Bally's is the generous size of the rooms.

I stayed in both an Indigo 2Q and a Jubilee 2Q a couple weeks ago. I didn't really notice any size difference to speak of, biggest differences are fridge, coffee maker and no tub (just a big shower) in the Jubilee rooms. Jubilee is definitely the nicer rooms.
