Going to as many casinos as possible..

Will be staying in Vegas for 9 days so want to se as many casinos as possible. (and get a souvenir from everyone ($1 chip or something)) Below is the list that i have made.
Any Casinos that i have forgotten? Any of theese that is not worth a visit?

There are a lot of those that in my opinion are not worth a visit. Not all casinos are unique and picturesque. Some are just boring, smoky gambling joints. You will also find that casino hopping is very time consuming and it may be a more "job like" than you think. I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but I would just say get into town and take things as they come. Folks that over plan often regret it in the end. Your mileage may vary though......

 

If your goal is to get a dollar chip or trinket at every casino, you should also stop in the Margaritaville casino. Its basically part of Flamingo, but I believe it has different chips. Good luck. Even for a long trip, this is an ambitious goal

 

I'm headed to Vegas for the first time this summer, and plan on doing something similar, though I'm leaving out all the non-strip/downtown casinos, as I won't have a car (I assume you will have a car, otherwise I don't think your list is feasible).

The downtown casinos are the easiest, since everything is so close... no problem there.

The off-strip casinos are the hardest, since they're so spread out. They'll take the most time and, I think, offer the least reward. From what I've read, there's not much reason to go out of your way to see them, though there are of course exceptions (e.g. Hard Rock).

The strip casinos are also going to take some time, but for me it seems worth it. However, I've got priority groupings in mind. So, some casinos are just too unique for me not to check out (Luxor, Caesars, etc.), and I've decided I'll go far out of my way for these if need be. But the others I'll check out if I'm in the general area and it won't take too much time. Since our shows/activities/dinners are all over the place, this should still allow us to see almost all of them. This way, If I'm having fun doing something else I won't feel obligated to, for example, walk all the way down to Mandalay Bay just to say I've been there. Just my $.02. Be sure to stop at the Riviera, since it won't be there much longer - I'm missing getting to see it by about a month

I think you missed SLS and Sam's Town. SLS is at the very end of the monorail and Sam's you can take a shuttle from Harrahs on the strip or from the Calfornia or Fremont downtown...maybe a 15-20 min ride...not sure exactly how long a ride it is. Not sure if I would go that much out of my way...but have fun.

 

I think you missed the M Resort and Casino.

I started collecting $1 chips and have made 2 trips this year so far. I've pretty much collected chips from the south and central strip. Will be doing it for the northern casinos on the next trip. Especially at Riviera before it closes down. Since you'll be there for 9 days, could be a great way to kill some time and exercise if you decide to walk it. Just go straight to the casino cashiers/cages and tell them you want to exchange for a $1 chip souvenir and they'll usually give you the newer/less circulated ones.

I agree. M Resort and Casino is a must visit. And while you're at it stop by South Point.

 

I didn't see Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, or fiesta Henderson. If you're going all the way out to Boulder hughway then might as well stop at the ones in Henderson. There's also Railroad Pass which is heading out towards the Hoover dam.

There's also 3 (4 if you count the one in Jean) casinos down in Primm about 40 min south of town (25 min south of M Resort)

 

Interesting plan. I really hate that I didn't get any mementos from Stardust, New Frontier, Sahara, etc. I will get something from Riviera this trip though as well as from other casinos.

 

I hit a similar quest over the course of a two week trip, hitting 135 between the Vegas valley, Laughlin and the Reno/Tahoe area. Bet at least $100 total and had a drink in each. Was a fun challenge.

I couldnt agree more. My first trip I tried this and i quit after the first day. After this i just planned a "north strip" trip and then a "center strip" trip and then downtown, off strip, etc.. Leaves you with alot to look forward to on future trips!!

 

I'm with tvon and captainron on this.

Expansive plans are awesome for heightening the pre-trip buzz. But when push comes to shove -- when you are on the ground -- Vegas just comes rushing at you and it is so much better to let it happen than to try to shove 10 pounds of stuff into a five-pound bucket. Nine days seems like a very long time, but that's a huge list of casinos, with so many more added by folks here.

 

Stratosphere is downtown and not Strip?!?

 

In reality it is neither. Its caught in between. It is neither a short walk to the actual "strip" or to downtown from The STRAT . I have walked each, but like I said neither is a short jaunt.

 

I consider the Stratosphere the end of the Strip. It's not a long walk from the Stratosphere to SLS, for example. The Stratosphere to downtown is much, much further.

 

The Nevada Gaming Commission considers Stratosphere downtown, as it resides within Las Vegas city limits (Sahara Ave. is the demarcation line) when reporting on Downtown results. South Point is my tweak (NGC lists as Henderson).

My trip was 2 weeks, and I hit Vegas 44 times, so my 135 casino quest was more leisurely paced than if a newbie tried it, or someone with less time. Downtown and the rest of the Las Vegas valley were relatively easy. Laughlin was easy as well. Had fun exploring northwest portion of the state (Reno / Tahoe and points in between). Will try to produce a summary of the 2014 or 2015 gaming abstract (2013 was my last update).

 

The Strat can be wherever anyone wants it to be; tourists don't really care about local land-use distinctions as they all call the Strip and Henderson "Las Vegas." Sure it's in No Man's Land up there, rendered more No with the continued demise of so much of what drove people to the North Strip, with a look and feel neighborhood-wise that is decidedly more downtown than Strip. But the monorail proximity kinda makes it Strip-ish.

It's our own little DMZ, even if the local boyz might be packing.

 

Narrow your list to 6-8 casinos and just stick with those. No need to go to places like Arizona Charlies, Hooters, Ellis Island, etc.
