I know there is march madness at the end of march, but does Vegas pick up any earlier in March?

    Yes, its a busy month.

There is the NASCAR race, March Madness, the NAB convention and spring break.

College Spring Breaks are usually mid march. Pools start opening either already or in within the next few weeks. Starting on like the 11th I believe is the Pac 12 tournament. March Madness starts the 19th. The weather is still not the best in lots of the country, but its great that time of year in Vegas. Its a busy. yet fun time to go.

And a fair number of those who arrive for the NCAA tournament will arrive the day prior (wed, march 18). Some of us will arrive on Tues, March 17 to enjoy St Patrick's Day, relax and make our bets prior to tipoff Thursday morning.

It's a great time to go, especially if you love watching college basketball, but it will be busy and crowded.

Not to mention St. Pat's. And all of the big pool parties will have their soft openings in March.
