Why won't MyVegas or the hotel (Mandalay Bay) send an email confirmation of a room reservation? I asked when booking the room and told and so today I called the hotel and they said they could not help me

Wonder if they're having email problems or delays today. I did book through mlife (not myVegas related) but they also said they were sending me a confirmation and I still haven't gotten it. That was probably 2 or 3 hours ago.

That's just standard MLife IT incompetence. They can't hire people that know how to click send on the email button. I booked an offer for 3 nights, $200 resort credit and $100 freeplay and they said they would email me a confirmation and it never came that day so I called the next day and they said they had the reservation/offer booked in their system and that they sent an email but would send another. Guess what did come that day either. Finally called back and got the confirmation number via phone and they said they'd try again and sure enough "On the third day, the email rose again!"

I remember last year when I booked a stay at Mirage via MyVegas they would not send an email either, I then reached out to the Mirage on Facebook and they quickly took my info and sent it. Mandalay Bay does not seem to have much going on their social networking so I guess I will just have to hope all is well upon arrival.

It's just one of those Vegas things. They are not good about sending confirmation emails. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it worrying they won't have a room for you or the terms will change.

A couple of years ago when they gave you the confirmation number you used to be able to look up the reservation on the hotel's website and email yourself the itinerary. I haven't be able to do that with a MyVegas or even a paid stay since then. But like others said, as long as you have your confirmation number you'll be good... I always have a copy of my MyVegas redemption email and confirmation # handy, but have never needed it with 6 MyVegas reservations I've completed so far.

I called Mlife back and they said they'd email me again. I'm on a 3 night comp there... I still haven't gotten it 2 days later. I'll try them again tomorrow and if I don't get it, I'll probably just stay the full time at Caesar's properties. Not worth the hassle of dealing with it with mlife.

Feel much better. I literally just got an email from MGM with confirmation so they do send them.

Its the system they the workers use.

I work in a place such as this and I simply dont have the capability to access the email program to send confirmations.

Of course they only want certain people to access these programs because they not only have those emails but they have numerous other emails that can be sent for all sorts of business functions.

The workers would gladly click a button and send it if they could, they just cant.

Its easy to say that they are just idiots or they should just allow everyone access but thats not the way its set up.

It's just weird. I used to work in customer support and we had templates that would fill in pretty much all of the relevant info. Not blaming the employees at all but if you day your going to email me a confirmation, they should.
