I have a comped room for two nights, Jan.6&7 at Mandalay Bay. This is during CES, and rooms at MB are $600/night now. Any chance they try some funny business with my comp?

Also, are tables at weekend limits for events like this?

If you are confirmed as a comp, you should be fine.

Table limits should be pretty normal-ish. The limits during an event like super bowl are higher.

Once you have your comp, you should be fine.

CES does not slam the casino at all. Lots of people, but many are there for CES, not Vegas. Restaurants on the other hand will be busier than normal.

Spot on! Although, some properties like Cosmo will bump up table mins across the board.

I usually double book during CES every year and never had problems with the comped reservations. This year, I have Caesars and MGM Grand during CES.

Since they knew that CES would be there that week I think you're fine.

20+ years ago what was then the Ramada Renaissance in San Francisco (now Park 55 or something similar) tried to stick it to us on a reservation booked many months earlier after the World Series wound up being in San Francisco that week. But that was a situation where it wasn't until many months after we booked that it was determined that SF would be in the World Series that week and they decided to up the rates.

Probably Monday since a lot of convention goers will stay through the weekend.

Thanks guys, I didn't think it would be a problem, but I tend to worry. A quick side question, what should I expect for a taxi wait at the airport? I arrive at 11am on Tuesday and have no idea what to expect. We're only staying two nights and don't want to wait an hour or more waiting. I'm contemplating shelling out on a limo.

Taxi on Tuesday will be crazy, as that is the first day of CES (for general attendees). There will be traffic congestion almost everywhere. I would suggest booking a limo.
