Recommendations for Strip companion club.

I'm a member of Total Rewards. It's mostly a matter of there being a CET casino near my home. CET doesn't have any properties I like outside of Caesars, PH, and I still need to check out Cromwell. I can easily log in to my account and book a comp room from them at the middle and lower tiers.

I would like to check out some other stand alone clubs available on the strip. I've been looking over Identity at Cosmo, SLS, and Venetian/Palazzo, and TI. I guess I'm just looking at other options to always choosing a CET property. Whenever I do get back to Vegas, hopefully soon, I would like to sign up for Identity as I love the property. I know its not very gambler specific but it does seem like that have so many ways to earn points.

Any feedback from Identity club members or any other stand alone would be appreciated.

In the past Cosmo has been kinda tight with comps. That may change with new ownership. Or who knows, it might get worse. Just too soon to know. If your primary goal is getting comped rooms, I think you will have a better chance with V/P. Can't speak for TI as I have not gambled there in years

 

In my opinion they've been favorable to me considering my level of action. I'm definitely a notch down in action from yourself and the pphold and packer types. I'm going to keep with Cosmo for as long as they keep it up with the good comps.

But to answer the OP, the downside to Identity is you're limited to one property. Having options with MLIFE and CET is a nice thing to have.

I have been playing around with total rewards, identity and most recently the Venetian, here's my 2 cents.......

Total Rewards- I like the fact that the play is linked as you can move between properties if you need a change in scenery. I also like the huge variety in dining options. They also have good headliners, and I have received some great offers from them that were more "experienced" based rather than just freeplay.....like with Vegas uncorked, going to cooking demo's etc, something you may not have access to otherwise. The problem I personally have been having with them at my level of play is that the offers seem more rich elsewhere for the same level of play. On a trip in May, I did 1000 points a day for 3 days (15,000 coin through) and had a total loss of $1700. The eventual offers from that were free nights and $250 in freeplay. Although I could get nights at Caesars, it still wasn't in any of the better towers, or something I would have considered comparable to a terrace room at Cosmo. My RC's never seemed to amount to much, and I think I used about $27 of back end comps. My offers just don't seem to move there.

At the same time, I was splitting my play at Identity. If you are considering splitting your play, Planet Hollywood is awesome with Cosmo as they are so close to each other. I like Cosmo as it is a sexy vibe, the rooms are gorgeous, fancy drink service on the gaming floor, and I tend to have pretty good play value on slots there. For about an equal amount of play at Identity, my offers have come back as much as 3-4 free nights (always have had a terrace room there) free play ranging from 260-570, and dining credits from 0-100 in addition. I found them to be VERY generous. Further, the RC's there rack up like crazy. Now at gold level, I get a triple multiplier and always end up accruing hundreds of dollars, and that can be used for free play at equal conversion. Meaning, if you have 8000 points, it's worth 80.00 in free play, not converted at a percentage. Even with the stronger offers, I was able to get car service as well as dinner at STK and Jaleo and wicked spoon all comped off the back end. I really don't think they could have been more generous....and I do get monthly ticket offers as well that can be used on top of that. The only issue I have with giving all my play to Cosmo is that the gaming floor is smaller, so I tend to want to wander off and play elsewhere. As well, they have mostly high end dining that I'm not always in the mood for, but they all have tasted fantastic. There isn't a close shopping option either, so when I want to shop, it usually results in my gambling somewhere on the way to shop. All said, I think the comps here are very generous....even if only the free nights, I consider them to be a $300 value per night average- and as mentioned, I still can't seem to get a comparable comp at TR even on room alone.

Venetian- I heard a couple years back they reneged on people's free room comps and that idea left a bad taste in my mouth to want to give them much of a go.....plus I had already set things up pretty comfy between Cosmo/CEt offers. I took them up on a teaser offer they had sent in December, and ended up playing there more than I had meant to chasing a tier. What I don't like about their rewards program is that it's hard to figure out how the points accrue....it's based on THEO. Anyway, I ended up losing about $2500 and was curious to see what that would translate into in the way of offers. I recently had an offer show up that reflected my play there and it was 3 nights, $600 in free play, $150 dining and 2 tix to rock of ages. At retail, I would peg that to be around $1700-1800 in value, which I thought was a good offer given the loss. I would consider the Cosmo rooms still better, but they are still nice suites, there's shopping on site, and dining options that range from quick service to high end. They have a huge gaming floor that could keep you entertained for a 3 day trip, so you wouldn't have to water down the play elsewhere if you didn't want to. Not sure how well the RC's grow as I just don't have enough experience there.
Also not sure how the offers look long term.

Not sure if this helps you at all. But after 5 trips to vegas in 13 months, I'm still finding you really need to spend some time trying various loyalty programs and hotels to see what works for you. I realize it really waters down the play while trying different places, but, I think long term it ensures when you do choose a home property it's with confidence that it's the one that works best for your play level and interests.

Kinda like you. A lot of my loyalty with CET had to do with going to Harrah's Joliet but I don't like it there anymore and I don't see much use for what's happening in Vegas. I never really found a standalone strip players club I like that much. Cosmo is a unique place to play but I don't see much happening there for a low roller. Same with V/P, plus the fragrance makes me sick at times. TI was just okay. I haven't been back to Trop since it was redone but I really don't care for south strip. My alternative was to go offstrip. I put in enough time at Gold Coast and Orleans to start getting free nights with them. They have Blue Chip close enough but putting in play there doesn't seem to help with Vegas offers but it at least helps that you can use your comp dollars nationwide. Plus the rate to earn tier points is ridiculously low so when I can visit more regularly, I can get to Sapphire really quickly.

 

Is there a particular reason you are excluding the Mlife properties? In my opinion they are tighter with the comps but the properties are better.

 

I've had the best offers from Cosmo and Total Rewards past couple years. Occasional MGM offers. I think the others are too unpredictable to be useful. I play the same everywhere and I won't adjust my play to or from anywhere for anything, but spreading this consistent play everywhere I've only noticed predictable useful offers for Cosmo, Caesars, P.ho

Personally I wouldn't waste any play if it's purely seeking comps at VP, Wynn, TI, or MGMs for that matter. They give offers, but just too random to be able to count on for a certain trip.

As long as your getting Caesars or P.ho those aren't much different from the MGMs. And Cosmo is a nice option to throw in there. They seem to give 2-nighters for not a whole lotta play

 

Well, the nearest Mlife property to me is driving 4 hours to Detroit. I've sort of been a nomade in Vegas but I have stayed at CET properties the most since joing their club 4 years ago. I do like Aria and MGM. I did like Bellagio and one point but for a 30 year old, its starting to feel like a 50 and older crowd there. I have yet to stay at the Mirage. I think I excluded them based on my location and the location of other CET properties. I can play at home and earn comps for a trip to Vegas. Wynn is out of my league, me thinks.

I can book Flamingo on a comp and potentially split some play at Cosmo or another stand alone property. If my play doesn't warrant anything, I still have a CET to reply on for another trip in the future. I'm not a comp chaser, however, I'm starting to really get into the more up to date properties. I guess, I'm wishy washy about starting over with a new club. I wish CET would do a gut rehab of their worn out properties, other than just linq or divest some of them.

I would consider Cromwell. I can't get comps there, maybe you can with your proximity to a local CET casino. I would try your TR card at Cromwell and see what that may bring you. I love me some Cromwell, well, at least the Casino. It's intimate, the employees will treat you right, and it's CET. I can't wait to get back there.
Just a thought.

 

The only comment on Cromwell is I like it, have dropped some decent coin there, and it's still not comped while Caesars is
