Since I have been getting older, I find that I use the valet parking service more often than not. My buddy refuses to Valet.

There are casinos where I won't valet, because parking can be very close to the gaming floor, like Palazzo.

Contrast that with MGM or Mirage, where the self park is a long ways away from the casino, and a buck isn't a lot of money.

Any casinos that you will definitely Valet at, and any that you won't?

I valet at EVERY casino I go to.

I just love the service and for the nominal tips, it's a "luxury" I can afford.

    For me . . .
Best valet at a high end property: Encore
Best valet at a non-high end property: Silverton

Yeah, I quit using the valet downtown. At the D and Four Queens the self park STARTS on the 6th floor.

You know, the only place I've valeted downtown is the Nugget and that was a few years ago. I am not a downtown person, but I went to DuPar's because of those danged pancakes (well worth it!)

When we do drive (not so much anymore)... I hated valet. Why?

Waiting for somebody to bring the car is a royal pain.
Yea, the walk may be a bit, but at least I am in control.
The money is really not a big deal.

And, since it is a rental, I do worry a bit about somebody else driving it and potential issues. Yea, I know parking could cause issues too.

If I'm driving and/or it's my rental car...valet it is. I'm easy going about a lot of things. That's not an area where I will budge.

I always rent a car due to golfing and I valet when I can as it's usually much easier than parking/walking from the garage.

I've gotten to the point I would rather be walking than standing and waiting, so we rarely use valet.

I like seeing the shoe prints on the rafters in the parking decks. I'll look at my wife and say, "I wanna put my shoe prints up there, lift me up!" She doesn't find it funny but I LMAO every time.

We valet everywhere. Or rather, we valet at our home casino and taxi everywhere else. But the idea of going anywhere near a parking garage makes my blood pressure spike.

I usually valet. I don't mind walking but the walks from the parking garages to the rooms can be pretty brutal, especially when you have a lot of bags on you.

On the strip, I valet. I haven't liked navigating the few strip parking garages I've tried. Offstrip, I am more likely to self park, especially when their is ample surface parking in addition to a parking garage.

I am valet all the way. If your going from your room, straight to the car, call the valet and they will usually have it waiting for you. Always remember to tip. The drivers do remember you.

I went from never ever using valet in my life to my last trip in June using it 98% of the time. The only places I didn't use it were the Wynn, and once at Luxor I parked in the back. I tried self park at the D and that garage to me was horrible so I valet'ed everytime after that.

I hardly ever use valet if possible, even in other cities. Too many problems, I had my car key fob broken at a restaurant in Honolulu (they hung it on the hook and when they removed it they just pulled it off the hook and tore the fob off the key ring - their response - they aren't responsible for any damage to the car or the fob while it was in valet). Bad because my key fob also had the chip and could open the doors and trunk, it would have cost $500 to get a replacement fob (I just used my back up one until I got rid of the car).

I was 2 for 3 in vegas......2 problems out of the 3 times I valet. 1 problem was at the Fremont, the valet scratched my rental car, he made a 3 foot long scratch along the passenger side of the car. The other time I guess the valet didn't see that post when he backed into it, so the bumper had a nice indentation in it. Both times the valet said that the problems were already there and they weren't responsible for it. :Þ Luckily the rental agencies didn't charge me for the scratches and dents.

After that I decided to never use the valet and would rather walk than valet.

Don't valet at Delano. They charge you 20 bucks.

I read the Delano abandoned the valet fee last month. I hope it is true.

We used the valet last month on our stay at Planet Hollywood. We were in my brothers new truck and when we picked it up the next morning to go running around the small ice chest he had on the floor in the back was on it's side. Luckily there wasn't much water or ice left and most stayed on the nice rubber mat Ford puts in their 4X4's. The next day he mentioned to the valet desk that they didn't need to come around the corner at 90 miles an hour. The guy that dropped off the car told him he only went 80. My brother didn't laugh but I thought it was pretty funny.
The guy who brought the car had overheard my brother's conversation with the guy at the desk.

I hope that too. I complained about it when I was there in November (6th)
