We normally go to Vegas 4 or 5 times a year and are thinking about making a trip to Atlantic City. Which of the three CET properties would be the best to stay?

Also would you go to a different Caesars property instead of Atlantic city? We've been to San Diego, Tunica, Bossier City, New Orleans, Laughlin, Reno and Tahoe.

Of the three, Harrah's is the nicest and newest but I have strong preference for Caesars because it is on the water, I'm 7* and there is a wonderful 7* lounge and on a slow weekend I've gotten amazing rooms/suites overlooking the ocean. Even though I'm not in my room much I love being on the water and walking along the boardwalk for a break.

I just got back from AC on WEd. The drink service and the type of drinks I got at Bally's were terrible. Mixed drinks were not captain morgan. Bottles of beer where Miller Lite only. Caesars and Harrahs had like 10 different types of bottles of beer. We were very happy with our room 2644 but the drink service speed and type of drinks we were not happy with.

What time of the year are you going? If summer def Caesars to be on the boardwalk. If winter time, I'd choose harrahs since they have the great indoor pool

We were thinking to go mid March for 5 nights. I just made 7* and I think I need to use the trip before March 31st. We go to Vegas all the time and my wife is interested in trying a new location. Never been to Atlantic City so thought it might be worth a trip.

We are open to any other location for the trip as well

I would check out both hotels websites and look at which is more appealing to your tastes. You can go between both places on Caesars free shuttle .
If you're a 7star,definitely go to Borgata while in AC,you may end up liking it better than both CET hotels. If you stay for 5 days my guess is if you show a 7star card at Borgata,GN and Trop they will give you something?

The wife and I went to A/C for the first time in. October and we choose caesars and were extremely pleased with it...and like flowers said, the 7 stars lounge is amazing.

I'd choose an ocean view room In the ocean tower over the suite that we had in the Centurion tower though....simply because of the view.

Cheers, you are going to love it there!!

I think they'll match black card if you have CET diamond+ and give you a couple nights free off the bat. After that you'd need to earn it. I haven't been to borgata in over 2.5 years and somehow I still have free room offers. I have booked and canceled quite a few trips so wondering if that has extended it, or they just really want their money back after my last trip

We live outside Philly so we visit AC often. Caesar;'s is the nicest property. Harrahs has the best buffet. At 7* , I guess your full comp at any restaurant so dining should not be a major consideration. Caesar's has a 7* star parking area on the 7th floor of the Coliseum Garage. Caesar's adjoins Bally's and Wild west casino which is a shell of it's old self. CET has a shuttle between properties. At caesar's you are within easy waking distance of the outlets and the Pier. Borgota will match any Diamond or Seven Star card. Borgota is the the nicest AC casino. Great dining options and best dinner buffet in AC. There is a $ 13.00 room tax which I do not think is waived. We pay it at Platinum with a comp room. I think it's an AC local deal. Don't roam too far off the boardwalk at night. The jitney buses at 2.25 are very easy to use and will get you between properties quickly. Much quicker than the CET shuttle. March weather can be anything the east coast. Enjoy your stay.

How to get to Atlantic City

Any suggestions on getting to Atlantic city from Texas? Seems like there are very few flights to ACY and the nearest airports are quite far away. United fligthts are only shown through Nov 29th which looks like they are discontinuing ACY

    Appreciate any suggestions

Fly into philly and then take the train. Though I probably would suggest not visiting Atlantic city if you're in Texas. :)

Not building and maintaining a proper airport is one of the other massive downfalls of the city. Easier and faster to go from Toronto - Vegas than TO - AC. Philly is the closest major airport. The one in AC only really flies from a handful of cities.

UAL is discontiuing service from Houston to AC. You can fly Spirit from DFW to ACY if you dont mind a 2.5 hr layover in Fort Lauderdale. Not too appealing ,I know.

Fly into Philly and rent a car, skip the train. It's about an hour away, all highway, very easy.

At one point I think AC was getting 30-35 million visitors a year by bus and car when it was the only game outside of Vegas. Everyone got fat, dumb and lazy. They didn't react when the tribal casinos in CT came onboard, then Delaware Casinos, then PA slots, then PA table games, then NY slots, then OH, then MD. Well, in 2014 they finally reacted and 4 casinos are shuttered and possibly a fifth.

The airport is built next to a large FAA testing center, so the runways are there, the terminal is in place, unfortunately, the traffic is not. United pulled out because it was losing money and the airport which is managed by the same agency managing Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK, spent a couple million promoting the new flights. There was no demand.

As for getting to Vegas from TO, you could fly into Philly, drive down and have a Caesar in Caesars AC faster.

Agree with this. Also, train will probably take twice as long, as you first have to get to 30th st station via septa train or cab, then NJ transit train to AC. Unless it is rush hour in the afternoon traffic should be ok, even then it should only be slow for a couple miles when you enter NJ, then it will clear up and be fine.

+1. It's also somewhat nice having a car in AC. I'm not a big fan of the taxis and jitneys...

    Looks like we are ready

There are plenty of restaurants in AC casinos to pick from but since I have not been to the casinos on the boardwalk in sometime, I will make a suggestion away from the casinos if that interest you. The Ram’s Head Inn is about 10 miles away from Harrahs casino in AC. This will be a 15 min car ride as it is on the same highway you take back to the mainland from the AC Marina area.(If staying at Harrah’s you will go right past it on your ride in ) It is also a nice place to get away to and a break from the casinos. It is a high end restaurant and I would recommend it highly. I hope you enjoy your trip and wish you much luck on the slots and hope you win big.
