    Ha! So true, so true!!! This is gonna sound silly, especially since I have the luxury of visiting monthly, but right as the plane is getting just a bit of elevation off the runway, I look at the strip (I ALWAYS sit on that side of the plane at the window) and say "bye bye Vegas, bye bye"... in my best Dustin Hoffman Rainman voice from the movie when he said "bye bye Rainman, bye bye".

    Though I must reverse the order for me... by the time I'm on the plane I've pretty much resigned myself to going home, but for me it SUCKS when I'm exiting the room... one last look around to be sure I've got everything and then closing the room door and walking the empty hall full of Do Not Disturb signs. Ughhhh I hate that!!! I wanna run back in the room before the door closes and call down to extend!!!

    For me it's my last night in vegas, knowing that the trip is virtually over and it's back to reality time. And the "good feeling" doesn't come back until I've booked my flight for the next trip!

    I think the ride back to the airport is very depressing. It helps, though, if it was a winning trip!:peace:
    Good luck.:beer::beer:

    For us, Vegas or elsewhere, unless it's a trip of short proportion -- say, two nights -- we don't mind leaving because we love getting home. We love our house, it's quiet and gorgeous here, it's our spot on this big spinning rock, so there's not a lot of "oh damn."

    For me, it's waking up on that last day. The party is over, now all I have left is the hassle of packing, checking out, trip to the airport, airport hassles, wait for the flight, usually miserable flight home, due to having overdone it over the last X number of days.

    It's sad when the happiest part of a day where you were in Vegas, is getting to your car at the airport on the other end. Very depressing.

    I think for me it's getting to the airport, waiting for your plane to arrive, and then watching all the happy people getting off.

    Since we're on Eastern time, the first morning after we arrive in Vegas I am always up and ready by 4 a.m. If you are ever in a casino then, you see them collecting the money from machines. You see drunken gamblers being helped out of the casino- after they've lost it all, that is. You see hookers looking for that last John. You have no decent coffee to drink. That sort of thing. If you're winning, you don't notice as much.

    There is a big escalator in the airport where all the people going one direction have the VEGAS look on their faces, and all the sad people are heading in the other direction, presumably towards the gates.

    Mine is always the morning of your last day and thinking of all the things you didn't get to do or accomplish on your trip. Then your mind already jumps ahead to the next trip

    When the cocktail waitress swings by and you can't get a drink because you are driving to the airport in a couple hours.

    For me it's the cab ride back to the airport. Then after checking in for the flight I have 1 last gamble to make- going through security. Wearing an insulin pump I either get sent on my way no questions asked or have to go over my entire medical history with the TSA.

    I would say the last night of the trip. I tend to stay out a little later than any of the other nights, not wanting it to end. However, because I that I met this smokin' hot bartender a few years back. I stayed out until 5 or 6 AM keeping her company when I should have been back in the room.

    I was gonna say the exact same thing. When I first get off the plane I see all the people leaving, they're worn out, tired, and look like shit. All I can think is hahaha sucks for you guys!

    Then 4-5 days later it happends to me and I'm the one who looks like shit and is all depressed after seeing all the happy people get off the plane.

    Now that would be really depressing because you have to leave and can't see the bartender again until you come back next time.

    That happened to me last year. I had the worst trip ever and all I wanted to do was go home.
