    My Trip Report

OK ,this was our first stay at the Palace. We're downtown people but we live outside Philly and play in Atlantic City. My bride of 40 years, who turned 65 this trip likes playing at CET properties in Atlantic City. During the winter they flooded our mail box with offers such as 10X comps etc. We built up a significant number of comps, ( for us). I went on the web site and they offered us five nights comp in the Forum Tower with a sixth night at 201.00. Our comps would cover that so CP it was.

Flew U.S. AIr (or as some call it U.S. scare) non-stop out of Philly. Flights on time both ways. So we land in Vegas and cab line is out and out crazy. So this is the start of trip number somewhere between 15 and 20. Sorry lost count through the years. I remember our first stay was at the Flamingo( charter), and second was at the Dunes. I'm showing my age. After that it's a senior moment.
Check in at the CP, Platinum line , was a breeze. On the 64th floor which had a nice view. room very nice , great shower, excellent maid service. Dinner time so we meandered down the strip to Plant Ho for dinner. Mrs. C likes it here. Dinner was fine. Gaming not so nice. Mrs. C is a slot jockey, Stinkin rich, Bridesmaids, Fire Horse etc. No Bridesmaids in the kingdom of Caesars. Getting time changed out so head to back to CP for a slot bloodbath. Slots at CP are at best less then loose. Did feel like we were the Beverly Hillbillies at the Palace. Hell yes.

Day 2 : Harrah's for breakfast since we had the 24 pass for two which was 99.00 for two . Pay attention to this as it changes as the week goes by. No problem, food is decent. Caught a nice hit on a Mustang Money at Harrah's . Bonus hit and on the sixth spin I caught the full row of 2X and the full row of 5X on the fourth reel. I "ll be dipped in s***. Cash out $ 269.00 on a .50 cent bet. We tend to play light in the a.m. as we like to play all day. Ultimate X Joker Poker was good also. Put $ 40.00 in cashed out $ 180.00. This is going to be a nice day, my butt. Walk through Flamingo on the way up strip. Now there is a Universal axiom about the Flamingo and me. I can't pull a jackpot out of a Flamingo machine with a freakin tractor. So I walk on by. We stayed at Paris last year, same deal with the comps. Mrs. C liked the Paris buffet so we did that for dinner. Big mistake. The food quality at Paris did the Hoover thing, it just plain sucked. No we are not galloping gourmets or particular about food. I think iced tea is normally served with ice? No brainer eh? So our tea comes and we have like three ice cubes. We had a real dingbat server. So after five minutes our tea is like hotter than a well diggers butt in July. Somehow we get a new server and she is great. Freshens everything, keeps table clear. Great Gal. As a note they did not offer hot crab legs in Paris. At the HO they seat Platinum in the VIP section. First thing they ask you is if you want hot crab legs. I see why there's not a big line at the Paris buffet. The Paris casino is like the son of Flamingo to me. No play just a walk through. After dinner, we migrate to the Cromwell. I can't say enough nice things about the staff here. A hostess takes your drink order and like magic it's there. Nice variety of Video Poker
and slots. Played Ultimate X , joker and had a good run. Worth noting, four of a kind pays 75 with max coins in. Downtown pays 85. Still a good session so, no complaint.

Day 3: Downtown at last. Wife sets her butt at a machine in the D and does not move for about four hours. I migrate to Queens and play joker poker at the bar. Put $ 40.00 in and cash out $ 180.00 after about an hour. Roamed around Fremont until dinner. We had a reservation at the Redwood for dinner. Always a great meal. Played at the Cal for about an hour and undid a lot of good work. I think they should change the name of the Cal to son of Flamingo. So we stop in at Caesar's before beddy by and take another hit. CP has a grand total of three nickel video poker machines. Most of their Ultimate X machines are a quarter and higher.

Day 4: Over to Harrah's for breakfast. We decide to purchase the 24 pass as we can use it for two breakfasts and a dinner. Well hello, the $ 99.00 pass for two is now $ 130.00. why because it's the weekend. Shame on me, I left my new can of bulls*** repellent home. So we get it anyway. After partaking we go over to TI. Wife finds a bridesmaids and I goof around on slots. Did cover a Zeus 2 with Zeus and wild symbols. Morning play so Only playing like .40 cents and get 75. We took the shuttle to Sam's town as the horse player in me needed a fix. Penna. Derby and the return of California Chrome who runs fourth and ruins my tri tickets. Not a good day for horses. Wife wounds up winning 40 so head to Planet Ho for dinner. Great meal, excellent hot crab legs, good server. A nice experience. In a good mood so we play a couple hours at the Ho. Should have just mailed them a check and called it even. Move back to Cromwell and again had a nice time. Hostess actually remembered what I drank. Good video poker session on the Ultimate X joker poker. Too much to drink.

DAY 5: Took the bus to Planet Ho for breakfast. Same deal, all food hot, good service, I think the it's the best of all the CET property buffets. My only complaint with the HO is their low flush toilets. Folks you need to Al Bundy these boys and get fergusons. I mean really. Today is mrs. C's 65th. I call her an old bag as she is 59 days older than me. Luckily she has a sense of humor. She wants to go back to the T.I and squat on the Bridesmaids. Prior to breakfast I put my parlay card and side bets in at CP. More on that to come. At TI I play a Dragon's Law. It's a new slot where the dragon drops down and his/her tail drops wilds. I caught 11 wilds on the first drop. During the bonus, (10 spins), the dragon dropped wilds three times.Cashed out about $ 200.00. Went to stacked lion machine , catch the bonus and select the tiger for my extra symbol. On the sixth spin I cover the screen with tigers. ,(107.00). Mrs. C needs folding green, so I re-arm her . We had a dinner reversion at the Capital Grille for her birthday. I know who goes to Vegas and goes to the Capital Grille. We like their steak so with dinner and a drink each it went over $ 200,00. Back to Cromwell for evening festivities. Not too bad , nothing spectacular. Forgot about the football story. Hit a four team parlay and the over on the Eagles-Washington game, a great day.

Day 6: Told the Mrs, no discussions, we 're going to Fremont street. Had a lovely breakfast at Dunkin Donuts. I love Dunkin Donuts coffee. Wife goes back to D and I migrate to Queens. Playing a Kronos machine and the bonus hits. Catch the princely sum of $ 14.60. On the next spin the major jackpot awards. $ 462.00. First time for me for that. Try some video joker poker but the video poker gods we off today. Roam around and hit Binion's for my gotta have a cheeseburger meal. Still a great burger. Play in Binion's and take a $ 200.00 hit. Wife looks she just had a plate of sour owl s***. Got to queens and hit a Panda stack game, playing a buck for 128 free spins. Got to clean up on this right. Not so fast Kilvinski. Cash out $121.00. About .95 cents a spin on the bonus.
Back to CP. One of the nickel Ultimate X machines is not in use. No Joker so I play Bonus Poker and hit four deuces with a 11X multiplier. Move over to Cromwell and have a great Joker Ultimate X session. why is it that the last night in town we seem to do pretty good. How good, I 'm dealt Ace of Diamonds and a joker on the bottom had. Draw Ace Ace Ace for five of kind with a three times multiplier. I should leave this machine. Three hands later I catch a Diamond Royal with no joker, no multiplier but 4,000 nickel's.

Day 7 get out of dodge day.

Wanted to try the fan-tas-tic, Guadacanal, Bachannal Buffet at CP. Hit us for 5500 reward credits for two. Now this a really gorgeous room and easy to get lost, lots of flash and dash, but let's face facts. I'm a fair man with a knife and fork. When most people were kids they snuck behind the barn to smoke cigarettes. I smoked hams. It's a nice buffet but not worth the price. I hear dinner is the meal there. Breakfast was just like Harrah's with fancy china. No V-8 juice either. Only the Ho had V-8. Overall a losing trip, Mrs. C's best hit was $ 87.00 bucks. But we had a good time

    General observations:

CP : would I stay there again. NO NO NO NO. Out of my league. Back to the Golden Nugget next trip.

Best Buffet: Planet Ho. Great servers, hot food, table cleared, drinks refilled. Very nice people here.

Cromwell: Like it. Very clean. Surgically clean rest rooms. Great service. I know we had an abnormal gambling run here, but the ambiance of the place is great.

Overall Gaming: FREMONT FREMONT FREMONT. with the exception of the Cal and Bunion's. I changed their name because they stole my fun money.

Best Sign; On the ped bridge between Bally's and Bellagio there was a guy with a sign that said, "kick me in the balls, no cup" Twenty dollars. That's brass b****.

Best hooker line : In CP , young sweetheart plops her butt next to me and starts chatting. I asked her if she knew the difference erotic and kinky.
Well no, I told her kinky is when you use a feather. Erotic is when you use the whole chicken. She get's up, shakes her head and leaves.

New Vegas rule: I don't mean to be derisive to young people but the minimum age to visit should be 25, The newly turned 21 on the weekends are a mess. First time getting loaded, bad manners etc.

Off to the airport and back to beautiful Bensalem Pa. I think we need a trip to AC. Thanks for reading the madness. I hope you got a chuckle out of the ravings of a mad man. No offense was meant.
Just the facts as Sgt. Friday used to say.

    Good gambling.

And Ultimate X Joker Poker actually pays 85 credits on 4 of a kind? That might be a "full pay" unit for Ultimate X...where was this at?? Denominations?

    Good report!

Joker Poker 85 for four of a kind was at the Four Queens bar, sorry about the omission. The kinky erotic joke is bass ackwards. Forgive a senior moment. I'm older so I'm allowed bigger mistakes.
