Arizona set a new record for its "wettest day in history"...some places got over 5 inches of rain...in about 6 hours.

Several of the main freeways were closed; the Governor put the entire state of Arizona in a state of emergency and instructed all non-essential state employees to remain home.

Here are some pics from my neighborhood...people were jet skiing in the streets and what is usually an open grass field.

Yeah, there might have been some rain near Quad too.

Thankfully my house remained dry, my pool over flowed and my backyard was flooded, but before it could get high enough to come inside the house, I turned on the pool back wash and pumped a ton of water to the front of the house

Glad your house is fine. Good thing you were home to pump out that water! Yikes!

Holy crap that Quad video is nuts

And I lol'd at people jetskiing in the neighborhood -- hopefully you didn't have any house flooding
