I know we have a ton of people on this board who live in the Houston area. I though maybe instead of allocating precious time in Vegas trying to meet up with other board members, we could have our own Houston area meet-ups. Maybe get together once a month to socialize, share trip tips, put names to faces, and share experiences.

Anyone interested in a Houston area VMB group?

I'd be down with that...or even like a bi-monthly meet up at Lauberge or something.

That's three. Let's see if we can get this up to 10 or so and then organize a meet-up.

Slum it at Isle of Debris? They sent me some half decent offers for some minimal craps action. I'll cash them in next weekend when passing thru coming back from Baton Rouge.

That's cool too - I like shooting craps there. I know most of the dealers because that's where I stay most of the time.

Of course LDL is the cream of the crop there but I was pleasantly surprised at the renovations done to the Isle. It's not half bad. I enjoyed VP at the back bar at LDL though. Quick drinks.

Yeah Isle has improved over time. It is still like a smokestack inside there because of the low ceilings but they have improved a bit on that too. They even posted signs telling everyone they did a better job. I always mention that on my survey they send me.

LDL is much fresher in the air quality department.

One thing I like about LDL is they offer free cash versus the promo chips that Isle does. I got a mailer the other day for $135 in cash from them.

This is an awesome idea! Sorry I can't make it, to far for me. I'm going to move this thread to the Get Together Section and see if you can get more people to join you. Good luck

I would be up for a Houston area meet, or LDL, Isle or Coushatta, where I do most of my play in this area. Headed to Shreveport in a few weeks. Got the itch. Not going back to Vegas til December.

I might swing out next weekend to try to pad the Vegas bankroll. I got a mailer for cash and promo chips from those places and I figure its enough to warrant the drive over to play on those and a couple hundred of my own. If I can add to the Vegas roll its all good.

    Good luck!!

My offers aren't good enough to make a trip just for them but I have to pass thru on my way back from Baton Rouge so why not make a pit stop. Friend of mine that's also in Baton Rouge this weekend bailed on going to LDL-BR tonight:( The gf isn't feeling well so it's an early night before a day of tailgating.

Hell yeah if you're driving through definitely stop in. See an LSU win and win some cash.

Normally mine aren't either but LDL sent the thing for $125 in cash and I have promo chips too and the Debris sent a thing for $100 in bonus chips plus the normal $50.

Shit even if I drove over for the cash and right back I would net $75 (less $50 for the half of tank of gas)

Definitely worth the trip for that! May have to go back over for one more weekend at the pool.

Stopped in for a few minutes on the way back yesterday. My promo chips from the Isle were supposed to be $15 one trip and $20 on my next visit but the cashier gave me all $35 at once. I found a $5 craps table and slow rolled it. Walked away from the table with $60 in profit. Put $30 back playing "OMG Kittens!" (F-U Bubbles for missing the bonus!) and Bierhaus. Gotta love kitties and beer. And then made my money back with a timely quad playing JoB at quarters.

haha the name of that slot machine cracks me up.

I don't get why Debris doesn't have the fire bet yet...LDL has it (have to pay at least 5 on it though). You'd think with a joint like Isle they'd want every nickel they can get their hands on
