    My Trip Report

Just downloaded tapatalk, hoping it works!

Less than 24 hrs until my guy friend and I depart from our wives, jobs, and 8 kids (total, not each) to some Vegas fun.

I have been a dozen times. He's been there once for a sleepover at Circus Circus.

The goals over 4 day trip are to golf, buy something nice enough for our wives so they don't resent us when we return, shoot guns or race cars, and hit up a comedian(open to suggestions on that as well). We like to eat so we will be finding lots to munch on. I hope to gamble a little bit too. I am a low roller and I don't think there is a small enough adjective to describe how small of a roller my friend is. Want to play a few poker tourneys and do some sport betting.

Also want to try some new table games for fun. Have only ever played blackjack. Any suggestions on that VMB?

Staying 2 nights at Mandalay Bay (through myvegas) and 2 at Mirage(comp offer). Trying $20 trick at both - will lt you know. I won't hide the money, but simply tell them that I would like a high up room 2 beds and would like to tip you if you are able to do that for me. I feel like a spy with the sandwich technique - and I'm 0/3 on it anyways!

Hoping to post pics of sls and updated teardown photos of Harmon as well. Let me know if you want to see any pics of anything

Will update a few times a day. The heat is on!

In airport now. All the airport workers giving us a hard time about being unfaithful to our wives while down there. Hilarious....not really.

Here's test pic of our lovely seating area.

Got here after a fairly smooth flight. Straight to rental. They were out of midsize. The lady asked if I would take a black dodge charger.

    ...why yes I would!

She drives up with it....and my heart sinks as someone else had already been assigned it. Oh well. We got a VW Tiguan for same price!

Dropped off bags at mb. $20 trick worked, got us a strip view on 32nd floor.

Went to MGM to play Lions Share...saw this![IMG]

Thought I'd pass on that news...played for the worse at mgm now back at mb. Buddy trying real roulette for first time, but scared to ask to buy in!

    More tomorrow

Good Luck north east j. I'll be in Vegas next weekend and plan to get in a couple rounds of golf. Please give a brief review of the courses you decide to play and post photos, if possible. (Note: Make sure you call the courses, it's overseeding season and some courses my be closed or cart paths only.)

Thanks fafa2e. It looks like about half the courses are down right now. I am up now at 630 and ready to book our first tee time. My partner grew very attached to the free Coors light last night, songs is still sleeping it off. Here are some pics from the descent last night as the sun set

Apparently the architect for your airport was Swamp Thing. Where the heck is that?

Good luck on your trip. Don't forget to hit up the pool at MB.

Just finished at mb pool. Very nice and slow as it was last hour before close. So much chlorine in hot tub my eyes watered though.

    Golf
Played Angel Park Mountain this pm. Not in good shape at all. But understandable given time of year.

    Some pics.

Had a blast playing best ball with my friend. Cut down on frustration and score!

To me it looks like everything got covered with a giant caramel apple wrap.

Angel Park didn't look too bad. Glad you had fun.

Thanks for the golf pics. The tee box and fairways of Angel Park looked OK, but the rough looked burned out. Temperatures over 100 degrees will do that to a course.

Hopefully you guys didn't go too hard last night and will get in another round today. If you don't mind a bit of a drive, I would recommend Paiute. I am not sure what kind of grass they use, but I know that they are one of the few courses in the area that does not overseed. Also, since they are on an Indian Reservation, I believe that they are not subject to water restrictions which allows them to maintain a greener course even during the hot summer months. (Note: I think Coyote Springs is the same, but it's even further away and I've never played there.) Also, Paiute and Coyote Springs are both out in the middle of nowhere, so you don't want to play there if it is particularly windy.

I'll take a quick step back to Monday and last night for gambling highlights. Monday we walked to MGM Grand for my friend to see it. Hence the lions share photo I posted. Played very light, including electronic craps. I like it because its a lot less intimidating. Walked back to mandaly bay. Friend wanted to try roulette and found a 10 dollar table. I joined him. Never played before but had fun, broke even maybe up 20 after an hour or 2. Friend was down around 50% of his bankroll, and on the first night that hurts. He licked his wounds and we went to bed.

yesterday I catch him using wifi to wiki roulette strategy. He is determined to win it back.

Last night went to Slice of Vegas at mb shoppes. Amazing service, quick food, then we started walking north casino hopping. Thought we would get to bellagio then do north of there next 2 nights. Nope.

walked into Monte Carlo to take tram to bellagio. Right inside the doors was a 5 buck roulette table. Long story short, he bought in for 100 and over the next 3 hours or so won all of his losses back using the system he read earlier that day. I didnt feel like playing roulette so I watched and got lots of free entertainment. Eveyr once in awhile I would go and play some slots for 20 mins, then come back. I couldn't tell him to leave, the guy was winning!

I founda new slot that has 4 games playing at once. Never saw this version, had wixked winnings and 3 games I never even seen before. Started playing looking for the bonus. 200 in or so and I was up to max bet and pressing a bit. Got the bonus. This bonus has super game feature where you play all 4 boards at once, but pick a board to get most symbols of a certain kind. Sure enough I picked the right one, and it paid me like 250. I was happy. Told myselfn3 spins and I am out...2nd spin bonus hits again for another 90 and I am happy. End of evening bankroll check and I am up a few bucks. My friend is dead even as well.

Funny story from roulette last night. British couple, mid 50s sit down, get $100 in chips. Put 20 bucks on 3 different numbers. 1st spin....hit! They win 700, order a glass of champagne while dealer clears board, toast, then walk off. Nice.

Hotel change today. Heading north to mirage. Going to golf between check out and checkin. I find that is perfect thing to do

north east j - I see that your trip report died early (hopefully you didn't die) I understand the trip reports getting off the rails, I'm one for three in my own attempts.

Any way, can you provide a quick update on any of the golf courses you played while you were out there?
