Even though I live in a 100% pro market ,I really enjoy college ball. Up until the 60's there was no pro football south of Baltimore and STL. that I can remember so the college game was the only game in town down south and did really well. Even though the first college game was played here the Giants owned North Jersey and The Eagles South Jersey .Princeton and Rutgers never made it as "football factories" ,but RU can at least brag about being in the top 5 of players graduating if nothing else.
So wherever you are and whoever you root for enjoy the season.

I was too! What an improvement! Johnny Who? LOL! I just hope he doesn't get the attitude and big head that JFF did. Hope he keeps making improvements. May be too early, but can you say Kenny Heisman? ;)

Two big wins for RU and the Temple Owls. 37-7 over an SEC team. ,Vandy. I like the Owls also,a lot of So. Jersey kids.

Ha, as was mentioned in the sportsbook thread he wasn't even on the futures list for Heisman before the game but was listed at 20-1 at halftime. I wonder if those odds got even better by the end of the game.

Thank goodness football is back. I basically watched 3 games Thursday night, spent all day yesterday on the couch watching games and plan to catch the two going on today. After a horrendous first half, my Rebels finally remembered how to play the game and came out with a 35-13 victory. There were a lot of close calls for a lot of highly ranked teams. It looks like it might be a very interesting season this year.

I checked on Friday afternoon and he was already bet down to 12-1!!

I didn't realize he was ex-MLB pitcher Ken Hill's son...cool to know and makes me feel old.

Indeed! I did not leave the house yesterday and pretty much was a lump on the couch from the Penn State game until the end of the LSU game last night.

Good call on them...Trickett looked good.

Bama is not the Bame we're used to seeing...this season seems to be wide open and with the playoff coming up it should be a great college season

Welcome to the world that we live in down here. The tide ALWAYS seems to get the calls, especially when they have a SEC crew there to protect the league's bowl payday that a highly ranked bama team brings.
BTW- I thought your guys played a great game.

Being that I have no collegiate affiliation (my school was a small one up in PA) I love just watching the games. Naturally I have gravitated to the SEC more often than not because of the great games and storylines within the conference.

I have watched a ton of Bama (and LSU) and the game the Tide played the other night was as sloppy as I have seen them in some time. They also have that clown Lane Kiffin on staff now and I didn't like the way he called the game.

I am not sure if you watched the game, but i mean some bullshit calls, and i hate to put the blame on the refs, but you know its bad when the announcers are saying how bad of calls they were. Of course they happened all on 3rd down.. GO FIGURE ha
