It's now only 43 days until takeoff, so I thought I'd try to get the latest info.
If you've been to Caesars Palace or Ven/Pal lately, I'd appreciate your insights.

I am a Craps player, home near Atlantic City.
I am a mid- to high-level Diamond Total Rewards player, and usually cover RFB.
On a gambling trip, I do almost all my play where I sleep.

We are planning to stay at Caesars Palace for 5 nights and our final two nights at Palazzo.
Can anyone report current craps conditions at these two casinos,
eg: Pit heat for dice setting, table bounce, felt vs. microfiber layout, and any other relevant information. Thanks!

The only place I have ever seen any real heat given to someone setting the dice...and it wasn't really setting in my eyes...was at Casino Royale. I play quite frequently on that side of the strip (Bellagio, Ballys, Harrah's, Caesar's, Mirage, Cosmo, Aria) and I have been staying at V/P quite a bit lately.

I've never taken note of the felt vs microfiber thing

Harrah's has some hard tables most notably the one that sits by the exit towards Carnaval Court...its like shooting on cement so you get hardly any bounce.

I love the atmosphere at V/P. The crews were all really nice and the minimums were $10 early mornings for a couple hours and then mainly $15/$25. If memory serves me correct (I was last there six months ago for SB) Venetian's tables did not have the All Small/All Tall bets but the Palazzo's did (cleaned up nicely on one shooter).

The good thing about playing there is most people are seasoned dice players and with the long tenured crews the games move pretty smoothly.

The only time you should be getting heat for this is if you're slowing the game down trying to do it. It's not like you're counting cards.

I can second this, I've never seen anyone get hassled unless they were taking just a ridiculous amount of time to shoot the dice. Craps vibe is fairly good at CP, I don't play at V/P much at all, I just don't like the vibe in that place.

Wynncore is a great place for craps and not too far from that location.

Venetian no problem. Aria no problem.
Driven out of TI after about 5 mins! They didn't even bother to wait and see if we were any good. A couple of throws setting the dice and both the box and floor were anxious for us to leave.

$5 craps at Caesar's Palace last Thursday night. I was surprised to see that.

The best rule of thumb is this: The more you tip the dealers, the less they hassle you.

And, when you tip, tell them you want to be in charge of the tip. When it hits, you can dictate how they drop it and if it remains up rather than being taken down. It will cost you less and potentially give them more in tips in the long run.

    Very Interesting Bo.

I was betting big money for TI standards, 4-7k a roll and got some heat from the pit about hitting the back wall. The table was so bad that the way that I throw, the dice would bounce clear over the rail 2 out of 4 times. Guy was a real asshole, as it was obvious to the dealers I wasnt trying anything, and they were getting toked well since I was up about 18k. Short of it, I told him I will just take my action elsewhere and he could have cared less. The only thing that place has going for it is the real estate its on. I think it's destined to be sold, all they do is make mistakes there. Stay away.

Wow I wouldn't have guessed TI would sweat that....now I am interested to try and see if they'll give me any lip. I usually walk through there once or twice per trip and I am gonna dedicate a hundo to seeing if they will say something.

For the record my setting consists of three-v, mini-v, yo-on-top and the hardway set...depending on how I am feeling and what numbers I need to hit. I am zoned in and always shoot within 5-7 seconds of getting the dice in my stick left or right spot.

Throw it short of the back wall intentionally two times. I'll bet the chick stack that the grey haired prick will start throwing a hissy fit about the dice not hitting the wall
