So I finally have something to show in the way of VP Porn. I got my RF cherry broken finally tonite! My wife and I stopped at a local NA casino after my niece's wedding (San Manuel in SoCal) and I was about 5 or 6 hands in on my first $20 when I got this:

My wife got her first one around 5 years ago and I've been waiting to get one.. the wait is finally over!!

Yeah I know the paytable is crappy, but I love to sit at the bar and smoke a cigar when I play and have some space to spread my crap out, so I sometimes give up good paytables for that...

    That is all...

    Nice hit:nworthy:

And so much for correct holds, which I don't always do myself. Keeping that 10 w/ the Ace, especially in DDB is a huge error on Winpoker practice software:Þ

Nice!! Congrats. I have yet to get one. Hubbie got his first two years ago, while we grabbed a drink at a bar before heading off to the airport to fly home. And he rarely plays VP, lol, while I play all the time. He too, held the "incorrect" cards. Go figure.

I would call this a VERY VERY good paytable!

    You just won a $1,000.

(yes, I understand paytables... but just had to snicker a bit here)

Nice going! I admit I don't always play perfect, hunches sometimes enter into it, but yes, I would have just held the ace in DDB. Glad it worked out for you!

Yea!!! I finally figured-out how to add my contribution to the VP Porn discussion. This was from the Hard Rock (yes, Huddler... there is a reason to go there!) a couple weeks ago. My first Royal Flush!

Oh yeah... CONGRATS warpdrvr to you too!!!!!!

Congrats, warpdrvr, on your first royal. As others shave said, holding the AT is not perfect play, but it sure was for this deal! :nworthy:

Congrats, smartone, on your royal. And you only held the King - nice. I've had several royals holding just one card and they are so unexpected. :nworthy:

You know what's funny? I use the WinPoker app on my phone and just didn't consult for that hand as I "thought" I knew the correct play. Sometimes being lucky is better than skilled I guess.. It appears that someone was smiling down on me last nite.... I guess I'll have to watch it a little more closely.

And nostresshere, you are correct...it was a VERY good paytable...at least for that hand :wink2:

    Congrats to you too, smartone....

by the way, how do you post the pics as a thumbnail like that? I used the IMG tags and it posted the whole pic

I honestly don't exactly know what I did... I think I clicked "Post Reply" and then clicked the attachment paper-clip at the top and then clicked on the photo out of my IPhoto files (I e-mailed the photo from my phone to it).

Ahh, I see now. Learn something new every day....actually I learned 2 today so far: Pay attention to the WinPoker on my iPhone and don't hold the 10, and how to post thumbnails....at least the not paying attention worked out this time haha

Hey my wife bit a royal holding Ace Ten too so it just proves to me that holding correctly all of the time can and will throw away Royal
    Flushes.

The proof is in the pudding as they say

Didn't see it here, but saw it on another forum a few months ago. We debated about the game in question. It's either 6/5 or 7/5 Super Double Double Bonus. It sure isn't 8/5, CET would never offer that...:rolleyes2:

    Here's mine

Walking through the Rio High Limit area and had a machine calling me. What could I do? OK I'll contribute $300 and see what happens. On triple play $5 that is only 4 hands but I didn't think that part through. In the 4 hands I hit this quad kings hand and was dealt 4 fours resulting in one hand with a kicker. $10,500 in about fifteen minutes.

Won't let me upload the photos since they are already posted in my Labor Day Trip 8/31 - 9/4 report

    my contribution...

Well, here is my contribution. It's kind of "soft-core," because

    1) ...despite years of playing, I still have NEVER gotten a royal. :(

    2) I almost never play those high variance games (double or triple anything) and almost always stick to JoB or maybe BP if I can't find a good JoB paytable.

    3) I usually play quarters. Sometimes, but rarely, dollars.

So, I know it's a little boring compared to others, but...

Picture #1: Main Street Station, Boar's Head bar. August of this year. I decided to kick it up to dollars because I was close to making Sapphire on their player's club card (and I did it the next day). I'm glad I did go to dollars, because I was DEALT a straight flush... $250/250 credits. It was awesome to hold all five cards and get the credits. They gave me a scratch card, too, but that was only $2.

Picture #2: Four Queens, also August of this year. Upstairs at the Chicago Brewing Company. I decided to see if their brews were good (they are), but unfortunately their VP paytables aren't full pay. Well, anyway, after only 20 or so hands, I was 4-to-a-straight flush and... I held the 4 cards... and... the magical 5th card (1 in 47 chance) showed up, for a quarter SF payout. I cashed out and left with a profit and a tasty beer.

I know, not as spectacular as others' "porn," but for this lowroller, it's the best I can do. :peace:

Might be the incorrect hold, but imagine that sinking feeling in your gut when the JQK hit and you threw away the 10. ouch.
