We are staying at Harrahs and I want to take my laptop. Do they have wireless? If not what do I need to bring and is there a charge? Will my Ipod Touch work?

Harrah's rooms have Wi-Fi at a cost of $16/day/device. This means that your laptop & iPod Touch will cost you $16 EACH for 24 hours of service. Keep in mind, this is for when you're in the room. You may be able to find other free Wi-Fi signals around and there's another thread on that topic. Use the search function.

Now, if you don't mind the $16/day, especially if you consider the fact that you can use your TR credits to pay for it and Harrah's gives you a choice by not wrapping it into a resort fee, there are a few ways around having to pay for both devices...

If you are using an Apple computer, you can use the wired connection for the internet and turn your laptop into a Hot Spot for your iPod Touch. See details here: TUAW: Mac 101

If you travel enough, I would suggest getting an Airport Express. It works on Mac's & PC's and the latest version (N) can be had for ~$60 on eBay (that's where I got mine). In bridge mode, it take your hotel internet and creates an instant Hot Spot, so you can use the iPod Touch & laptop wirelessly for the 1 device fee. Additionally, it has an audio port that allows you to wirelessly feed music from iTunes to it. I love mine!

You may be able to do the first trick with a Windows PC (especially on Windows 7) but I have never personally tired it and therefore can't comment on how easy/well it works.

I stayed at Harrahs last year, and twice during my stay, I went over to the Venetian and sat at their food court (the downstairs one next to the casino). While I ate breakfast or a snack, I used the free Wifi on my iPod Touch and caught up on e-mail, etc.
That was good enough for me, as I am not one who needs to be "connected" 24/7.

As stated, there is a charge. Wired or wireless.
And, it is per device. Two laptops, two charges.
And, good only for 24 hours.

Default Still the case?

Has there been any changes on this the last year? We have to bring two laptops, so it'll cost us $32 each day to have access in our room??

MGM properties offers Complimentary high speed internet, wi-fi as part of the resort fee, plus you get a $15 beverage credit per stay too, Daily USA Today newspaper Local and toll free numbered calls, Limited Business Center Services such as outgoing faxes, copies, notary, and boarding pass printing. So really the internet is free the first day because of the free beverage credit. Plus MGM properties are far superior to most Harrah;s properties.
