Well it's time I got this thing started before my memory fades, I always try to get to it as soon as I get back but I'm so busy
catching up I never seem to get to it, We got back 2 days ago so time to get going

FRIDAY
Flew out of Duluth on Allegiant Air - everything went great landed a few minutes early and since we carried on we were off to a
an extremely short taxi line. Off to the Imperial Palace, the taxi driver took a different way. It seemed okay we were always moving
but then we hit a snag when an ambulance had to pass through an intersection we ended up hitting a couple of red lights, when we
got near the IP the ambulance was coming back I think he was lost, taxi driver was friendly and talkative.
Check in at the IP was quite quick only a few people ahead of us. Got to the room, time from touchdown to room - less than 1 hour
YAY. Opened the curtains to a beautiful view of the top of the casino - oh well don't need to spend time looking at the view
room was kind of a disappointment kind of worn with stained carpeting and a very dated bathroom, we would have preferred Harrahs
but with the slot tourney we were in they said the only rooming option was IP . Oh well what can you expect for free.
Went to check in for tourney and receive all our junk, got a free coffee mug with a heating plate that plugs in to your computer!!
got all our times set and then we had 50 bucks in food comps to use, so we went off the the Burger Palace, we had been up for
10 hours and I was surviving on coffee - Hubby doesn't like to eat while traveling - so it sux to be me - I did have a banana on the
way but that had since worn off. So we had a burger and fries and now it was time for our miller lite - 2 hours in Vegas and no Lite-
Started off Gambling at IP and we both did okay - we doubled our first twenty and off we went toward Paris with a few stops in
between. Our first night was spent at IP, Bills, Flamingo, Bally's, Paris, and then back to Harrahs. After a night of gambling and being
awake for almost 22 hourS I called it a night. Total wins for the day was just shy of 200
Hubby and I had adopted a new way of gambling on the last trip, we pick 2 machines next to each other and when we double or better
we cash out and give half to the other, this worked very well for me on this trip, Because once we would win I would sit and watch him
play.

SATURDAY
After a 6 hour nap we got up and moving ready to check out our first slot session. We were early so we grabbed a cup of coffee
roamed a little and ended up at Harrahs where we played a little, then we hopped back to IP, he ended up with over 11,000 points
not bad the high I think for the day was 14,000 - we can work with that.
Today's mission was to head towards the Wynn and try to score a "free" buffet". Today we didn't fair so well I lost my extra 200
and then some. We kind of strayed from our new method and that hurt us. Hit up Casino Royal, Palazzo, Venetian, Wynn, and TI
first time at the Palazzo. Hubby swore we were still in the Venetian. We took a beating trying to score a free buffet, we accumulated
our 25 points really quickly but still played. I spun the free buffet, Hubby got 10 dollars in play, By the time we left we had enough
for 4 more buffets, they told us they are good for a year so we'll be back in Feb with our businiess partners so we can treat them
went to the buffet before 5 so no line, It was good, not sure if it's worth 27 bucks but for free it was yummy. Nice choice and they
keep them real fresh, only keeping small portions out a time, Basically had crab legs, salad, and mashed potatoes, all were good
and went back for seconds. Dessert was yummy, crème brule, mmmmmmmm
Started roaming back toward the IP stopped at Harrahs and played Gold Fish and Mermaids Gold, we played on these machines
for hours, there was 3 other people there who were very entertaining and fun to be around, One of them had a plastic guitar from
the Rockhouse filled with a drink. It looked like it would get kind of gross at the end , but it was quite a conversation piece
Back to the IP to finish off our day (and cash) I played Rapid Roulette and that was a blast, Billy Idol was a riot,
Crashed around midnight that night down 350 for the day

SUNDAY
I got up around 7ish and wanted to spend some enjoying the sunshine by the pool, it didn't open til 8 so I wandered to StarbuckS
in Harrahs and played a machine, broke even and headed back to IP pool, spent and hour and half here, It was nice and relaxing and
a good way to start another busy day. Off to our second tourney day, We were in 55th place, they payed throught 30th and we were only
200 points out of the money, so we had a chance, The machine was a dog!!!! Got only two red whit and blues, did hit quite a few
all blues and all reds but those don't get as much, still had close to 10000 points but there we a lot of machines higher so we
figured if we get back for the prize award banquet ,fine, it was not high on our list on our last day in Vegas. Never made it back so
we don't know where we finished.
Went to the cafe at Harrahs for lunch, I had a Patty melt and Hubby had French dip both were very good and filling
Went back towards the Paris again and hit all the places in between. Today we played more to our
new method and it paid off quite well, Hubby hit 400 bucks at the Flamingo - we never win there - We had a more laid back day today
enjoying a couple of beers, sitting outside, watching people and the Bellagio fountains, had to pace these times out because you
could only handle 15 minutes a time outside - it was freakin' hot!! Love it!!!
Hit Bally's on the way back and we both won there, got a couple of machines near the bar and watched the Packer Game, not much luck w/ the game
Ended up swapping a couple of hundreds when we would win, Went back to IP and harrahs to call it a night
a few hours later we actually made it back to bed, had to be up at 4:15 so it would be a quick night.

MONDAY
Up and out of the room by 5 and off to the airport, quick trip, no traffic and the best taxi driver ever, she was dressed very nice and
she moved in and out of cars at the airport like a pro, I don't know how she fit through some of those cars.
No line at Allegiant and off to security, line was long but it kept moving, it probably only took us 15 minutes to get from taxi through
security, So now we had and hour and half to kill, Tried my luck on the Wheel Of Fortune at the airport - hey somebody gotta win
why not me, You always hear about those people who win at the Aiport, well why not me!!
flight back was uneventful, landed 20 minutes early.
Total money I spent for our Vegas trip was 100 dollars, YAY
Hubby didn't fair as well but he only ended up 400 dollars down
so with flight, rooms, food and gambling we spent less than 1000 dollars, not bad for a vacation!!
Hubby finally made it back to platinum status of Total Rewards, so he's happy about that, I would play his card as well, but once
when I was playing Rapid Roulette, the lady said that it wouldn't take it because it was being played somewhere else in the casino??
I played with that card the entire trip and it looked like the points were accumulating, so I really don't know how this works or if I
shoud be playing my own card??
That's it for this trip, Now to start the countdown for our February trip
Keep those trip reports coming until then!!!

Great TR..for some reason I love playing at IP..we always end up there even if we don't stay there. Plus we really like the car exhibit.

11,000 points in one day isn't shabby at all. How do you accumulate points at rapid roullette? Is it like slots where $5=1 point or VP where $10=1 point.
Was the slot tourney held at the IP?

Great t/r. I also fly allegiant out of Duluth 2 or 3 times a year and have stayed at IP a couple of times. Hope they are making enough money so they keep flying out of there. So much less hassle flying out of Duluth instead of Minneapolis.
