    My Trip Report

With the highly anticipated Drunkbowl 6 (AKA-The Tequila and Cleavage Tour) underway and the cast of characters being:

    Me – Vegas Tonya
My Shadow (later known as Brittney)
    Laker Girl
    The Virgin
    KG
    Ma Barker
    Pepsi Girl

So we start out Thursday June 2nd for our annual ALL girls trip. Had LOTS of plans to see and do things. But the majority of those did not happen.

Left shortly after 8am and arrived in Vegas around 1:30pm. Got checked in at the Flaming-O without a problem and with adjoining rooms for the next 6 days.

We had a meet at the Orleans planned so we just got our stuff together and did our hair and changed. Had a couple drinks each and were on our way via taxi to The Orleans. Got a call from Hurricane Mikey and told him we were on our way.

Arrived at Orleans and headed to the Mardi Gras Bar. Hugs out of the way we immediately got a few drinks and a few shots. Met 3Cats (Tammy), Tess and Texas Lynnie. Lynnie had brought some “Dicky†straws that we had a good time with. Chatted with everyone and Tess wasn’t feeling too well so she excused herself and we decided to get in touch later after we figured out what we were going to do. Never called her but as the night unfolded it was probably better she was spared the “funâ€.

About 7:20 or so we decided it was time to go hit the Grain Train….Yep---ALL ABOARD! We get downtown and meet Mikey in front of The Plaza. Get the free pull on the machine that no one ever wins on….Oh wait Laker Girl did win 2 show tickets. But you had to go inside to claim them. I’m thinking it’s just a ploy to get you inside the casino. Yeah whatever! Where’s my train ticket?

Head over to La Bayou and wait in line to get aboard. Unsure of what I was getting as I just said to Mikey you order and that will be fine. It was good…can’t wait til March for another one. After the conductor had punched our tickets we stopped at a little store (don’t know the name) because someone had the bright idea they were hungry and wanted a hot dog. Well after they saw the hot dogs they gave up on them and just continued to drink. Big mistake as you all found out from Mikey’s “mini†report. At that point as the designated bartender I should have realized that My Shadow (aka Brittney) should have put some food in her belly. But noooooooo, there I was feeling pretty good not having a care in the world and should have watched out for my friends.

So we stroll over to check out Elvis singing and Tom Jones later and they were pretty darn good. Met some people and danced so much my feet were hurting. I was chatting with people and met this guy that had “HUGE†beads around his neck. I asked where he got them but he never told me. So I took his picture and chatted with him a little more. It was at that point some girl started giving me dirty looks. Well I’m not one to get in fights (on vacation anyway) so I stroll over to Mikey and “inform†him we are now married for the evening so I could maintain my “good standing†downtown. And that damn girl kept giving me nasty looks. Whatever…She just needed to chill. There were a few times on this trip I had to use the “just chill†button. But I got home safe and sound in the end so that is what matters.

Time starts to get by and I realize it’s about 10pm so I must call home and tell the kids (hubby included) it’s a school night and for them to go to bed. So I sauntered over to the store the girls “were†going to get those hot dogs. I nicely sit down beside the wall and call home. I chat with family and find out all was well. Then Laker Girl is standing in front of me and I ask her to go get me a water from the store. She so graciously does and I open and take a sip.

THIS IS THE PART THAT WE DEEMED “GOOD TIMES†AND WILL LEAVE IT AT THAT THE REST OF OUR LIVES…

But for now I will share with you all.

My phone rings and it is The Virgin and she is saying something about we have to get My Shadow out of here because they are going to call Metro and take her to detox. “WHATâ€? At this point Mikey is standing there and with my heels on I couldn’t get my ass up off the ground. So I kick off the shoes and hop up. I stagger over and see My Shadow sitting on the dance floor with puke beside her and people are staring. “HELLOâ€! Haven’t any of you ever seen a drunk person before?!!! Guess not! So security is standing there telling The Virgin we have to get My Shadow out of here. So I bend down to get her up and she pulls me down with her. GREAT! Now we both look like drunks. So I get up and try it again. NOPE…no go! She brings me down again. So I tell The Virgin help me and we get her up and I get my arms around her and her arm around my neck and I tell her….â€Girlfriend…you have to get up and walk or they are calling Metro and taking you to jail.†OH YEAH, that got her attention.

By the way….let me insert some useful information here…if you are taken to the drunk tank to “detoxâ€. Don’t let your friends bail you out. They will let you out on your Own Recognizance after you sober up…Save that money. Then you get to make another trip back to Clark County for court.

So back to My Shadow and me holding her up with no shoes on and staggering to the taxi line. I am telling her to pay attention to me and yelling in her ear….Left, Right, Left, Right….just so she will focus on her feet. People are taking pictures and laughing. But hell it’s all “Good Times†at this point. So we get around the corner and the taxi line is easily 10-15 people deep. I see Laker Girl get in line and then look back at us. A taxi pulls up and they usher us in ahead of everyone in the line. I think it was because we had a few security guys escorting us out of there. Again I say “Good Times†and move on! The Virgin slides in the taxi and I sit Brittney (from this point foward) on the seat and tell The Virgin to pull her over and I will push. The cabbie is freakin’ out yelling “She isn’t going to puke in my cab is sheâ€. We all say no, she’s done, it’s all over the ground back there. So he speeds out of there. I am talking to Brittney trying to keep her awake because if she passes out….we will NEVER get her out of the taxi. So for the next few minutes on our way back to the Flamin-O I talk about her cats and her husband and her co-workers. If you ever wanted to find out any “good†information about her…this would have been the time. But we had other issues on our mind.

    Part II

Back at the Flaming-O the cabbie can’t get us out of the car fast enough. OH and NO she didn’t throw up in his cab…well she did but it only was a little and it landed on her shirt. So we were safe!

Now the hard part begins….this was our first night in town and we were NOT familiar with our “new home†yet. So I relied on Laker Girl and The Virgin to guide us while I kept Brittney to a small spectacle. Which wasn’t easy because as you walk in from where he dropped us off (in the alley by O’Sheas), we had to walk passed Lindy’s with everyone staring again….â€Good Timesâ€.

We get her up to the room and sit her on the bed. Clean her up and get her in bed and just throw the covers over her. The 3 of us retreat to the other room and laugh and cry and laugh and cry…Good Times!

    Random thoughts from Thursday:

The Virgin said some lady came up to her and said “I’m a registered nurse and you need to take her back to the room and get her a cold shower.†Shit we barely got her to the room could you imagine us getting her in the tub. Someone for sure would have been killed. Most likely Brittney!

The Virgin also said that Brittney was drinking everyone’s drink.

Laker Girl said she didn’t know how much the cab fare was but just threw a $20 at the guy and said thanks. Had we been semi sober with that ass of a driver he wouldn’t have even got a tip.

Brittney’s phone call to her friend the next day starts “So I woke up naked…â€

    The AFTERMATH – Friday morning.

We wake up chipper and ready for another day in The City. Some of us are more chipper than others. Brittney is feeling ummmm-well….let’s just say NOT SO GOOD. We decide food is what she needs and wander over to O’Sheas to get a Subway (no condiments for Brittney) to help ease her pain. I of course opted for a Whopper with cheese (Brittney didn’t like the smell BTW). Too bad cause it’s Good Times still.

Today is spa day. Not sure Brittney can make it….she assures us she can. So we let The Virgin take the first appointment for the Salt Glow and I take the second while Brittney sits in the “warm†Jacuzzi. The Salt Glow was wonderful. It was actually done with sugar instead of salt, Feliciana said if we use salt and you have cuts you will know very soon where they are, so we opted for sugar. She was very nice and we talked about her kids and where she was from. How children today have no respect and parents don’t teach them respect….Oh yeah we had some good chat. Made me forget Brittney might be drowning in the Jacuzzi. Ahhhhh-Good Times!

Next was my massage. Oooooohhhhhhh, 55 minutes of pummeling for $80, can’t beat that! I always have a knot in my neck from sitting at a computer for almost 8 hours a day. So baby, they can take their elbow and break my neck if they would like…as long as they make the knots go away.

Brittney tells me later her masseuse says to her…â€you know you have some bruising here and here.†Brittney tells her yes I know. I guess she just wanted to make sure Brittney knew she didn’t cause the bruising. I don’t believe Brittney every tried to make an excuse to her, which is probably best.

So we get done with our massages and head for the pool and meet up with Laker Girl. The pool is packed and we see Laker Girl sitting in the pool. She said she couldn’t find chairs and just decided to hang in the pool by the side. She says she is done and was going to the room. So The Virgin, Brittney and I find 3 chairs over by the cabana area and get settled in. Enjoy the sun and get a hot dog (that was HUGE BTW). You get a hot dog and a bag of Kettle chips for $5.95. Could only eat ½ the hot dog and tossed the rest. They might have been Nathan’s but I am not sure.

Today was supposed to be the “Drunk Walk†but I think we covered a bit of that last night so we decided to just walk the strip and see what happens. Plus family was supposed to meet us and Friday night is group dinner night and we usually don’t meet anyone else. (Sorry I didn’t call you back Mikey, we will hang out again soon)

Get back to the room and I have a couple drinks…Brittney just turns blue at the thought of alcohol and says she won’t be drinking today. That’s fine, leaves more for me. :D I get a call from KG saying she is almost there and where should she meet us. We explain and she is there in about 20 minutes or so.

So we head north toward Peppermill for dinner. We stop at IP so we can call family and wave at them on the webcam. But they couldn’t get the freakin’ cam to come up so we gave up after a few minutes and we moved on. Stopped at Carnival Court and the band was doing a “rock†kinda thing so we moved on. Jumped into Harrah’s to use the restroom and watched some guy do some Karaoke.

Stopped in Casino Royale and KG played a penny Cops & Donuts machine. Put in $20 and cashed out $45 (I think). I played a few machines here and there and lost, lost, lost. Oh well Good Times….We were in Vegas!

During our walk, The Virgin picked up some porn cards and was slapping them back at the porn slappers. They were having a good time, I guess it’s ok because she is Mexican and they didn’t take offense to it. Although they never took them from her, which would have been even funnier.

Stopped inside Wynn to use the restroom and I really wasn’t impressed with it. We used the one inside the Strip entrance (to the right) and there wasn’t even a couch. And the sinks made me think of a trough. They were slanted and I felt like they just needed to throw some slop in there and it would be complete. We walked around the casino and left there within 30 minutes. It just didn’t have a good vibe for me. So I probably won’t go back. It’s not my kinda place. I’m more of a Ho, Stardust or Sahara kinda girl.

While we were walking there was a “group†of people just stopped in the middle of the freakin’ floor so I looked at Brittney and exclaimed…â€What’s so freakin’ important everyone needs to stop here. Some dumb ass lady that couldn’t detect sarcasm actually responded with “oh if you look over there, there is a light show in the waterfallâ€. If looks could kill she would be dead. I really didn’t care why everyone was stopped….Just get the hell out of the middle of the walkway. IDIOTS!

So we get to Peppermill and get some grub. I had the Chicken Fettuccini w/salad and it was good. It came with a “mini loaf†of bread but I never touched that. I knew the meal would fill me up and I wouldn’t be able to finish that.

Next stop New Frontier to play the ponies. We stop at the cage to get our quarters and there is this “disabled†man in his wheelchair running into the front of the line and up to the cage yelling “how come you won’t help meâ€. He didn’t realize that he has to actually tell the cashier “what he wantsâ€. They aren’t freakin’ mind readers. So security walked up and we walked away (we had enough security last night).

We play the ponies and lost. Met some fun people and watched LOTS of Wranglers walking by. Brittney notices a person from that 24/7 show and proceeds to tell me. Well I have never seen the show so I am not as thrilled. But she is stoked for her “celebrity sightingâ€.

After playing the ponies we wandered around. We couldn’t find the Cleopatra Keno machines we like so much so we head over to Stardust to catch the trolley back to Flaming-O. Decide it’s the same price (or close to) to catch a taxi and so we did. We get an older cabbie (David) that we thought would be “fineâ€. But as we are heading up the strip, Metro has a car stopped and the 2 guys are cuffed and sitting behind the car. Corona and “other stuff†are on the roof of the car. They guys are laughing and out of nowhere the cabbie yells out the window “it’s not funny!†You dumb ass is all I can think. First of all he has no business doing that. But don’t piss off the cops with us in the taxi. I think we were in the Metro’s morning briefing for last nights scene Downtown. So you can imagine we are all sinking in our seats because one of the Metro guys yells back at him “Hey!†Oh no here we go. We all kinda look at each other and the Metro cop wals up to the car and asked the cabbie why he isn’t wearing his seatbelt and to put it on. The cabbie acts like he didn’t hear him and says “whatâ€. The cop tells him to put on his seatbelt. Again he doesn’t hear the cop. So as you can imagine we are mortified at this point. Finally he hears the cop and tells us we all have to put on our seatbelts cause it’s the law.

We narrowly escape “detection†again. The rest of the cab ride was uneventful and quiet. Stupid ass driver is lucky he got the tip we gave him.

Back to the Flaming-O we go upstairs and get a drink. Head down to play a couple machines. I play video Keno and win $100. Eventually it all goes back in but as long as it’s fun who cares? Off to bed close to 2:30 or so.

Ma Barker and Pepsi Girl were supposed to arrive today but could not arrive due to family being ill. So our group never got above 5 girls at any one time.

    Saturday:

Up and off to the pool (our usual). It was hot but not like we are used to. Normally we go during this time for the heat. We like to lounge by the pool in 100 degrees or better. The entire week we were there. It never got above 90 but it was still “sunworthyâ€. I got a nice coating of bronze.

Back to the room to change and have a couple drinks. Then off to the M&M place to get the kids stuff. Stopped at The Tequila Bar in Bally’s and had a “Million $ Margarita†for $15. Don’t waste your money on that one. It wasn’t that good. But I drank it! We walked up the strip and there were so many Metro and Sheriff out there that I was glad we were not drunk. Just feeling good!

We head back to the hotel and change for Boogie Knights at House of Blues. I was not drinking so I actually drove us over to Mandalay Bay. We parked in valet and headed inside. Used our free VIP passes (from the 24/7 magazine from the taxi) and walked right in. It was pretty packed in there. We got some good dance floor space in the front by the stage. We danced for quiet a bit and then these freakin’ PTA’s moms started dancing next to us and bumping into us. I was getting pretty irritated and had to use my “chill out†button before one of them got an elbow to the gut. They were so drunk they didn’t even realize they were bumping into us. Not even an excuse me or anything. Had the alcohol been flowing…I’m not sure the “chill button†would have been working. It would have been “ONâ€. And I’m normally a mellow person. ;)

Back to our room to get some rest about 3am. Laker Girl and The Virgin leave tomorrow so they needed rest.

    Sunday:

Laker Girl and The Virgin left for home today and it was just down to me, Brittney and KG. So Brittney and I go to the pool and KG goes to Mandalay Bay for the Shark Reef. She said it was cool and worth the money.

During our pool time I call Pepsi Girl to check on family and told her and Ma Barker to meet us at Primm Valley for dinner. They agreed and met us at Primm about 6:20pm. We had dinner at the buffet at Whiskey Pete’s (It’s alright but not great). We then play the Wheel of Torture machine for a while. We all loose in the end. We then play Blazing 7’s for awhile. Again we loose!

We stop by to listen to the band for a while and they were pretty good. Actually they were awesome. I don’t know the name though. They did Rapture by Blondie and you would have thought it was piped in from a CD it was so good.

Ma Barker and Pepsi Girl had to leave so we bid them farewell. Brittney and I wandered around and I found a Cleopatra Keno machine so I sat down and told Brittney I was only playing $15 then we could go listen to the band more. She agreed and sat at a machine behind me and played whatever that was. I hit the bonus round on my 4th or 5th spin and on the 3rd free spin in the bonus round it all 7 out of 7 numbers and won $250. Not bad for less than 3 minutes of play. I cashed out at $248 and we went to listen to the band.

We get a couple drinks and have a seat in the lounge. The band started singing Kiss by Prince and it was good. Then the singer/guitar/fiddle player jumped off the stage and came and sat on Brittney’s lap and sang to her. It was fun and we had a great time with the people in the audience cheering her on. This guy did a great Charlie Daniels too. He played the fiddle like he was born with it attached to his shoulder.

FYI, if you are at Whiskey Pete’s there are 2 bars. One is by the lounge and has higher prices for drinks than the one by the steakhouse. So if you actually buy a drink you should go see Tim or Tony at the bar by the steakhouse. Plus I noticed they use larger cups there too.

The band took a break so we headed over to Buffalo Bills to visit with one of the bartenders I know there. We sat at the bar and chatted with a few of the bartenders that were off shift for an hour or so. At about 3am or so Brittney needed food so we go to the café at Whiskey Pete’s for some eggs, hash browns and such. Pretty good and we say our goodbyes to Mikey (another bartender) and head back to the Flaming-O only to find KG passed out in bed. She had just turned in herself.

    Monday:

KG has to go home and heads out around 11:00. Brittney and I head to the pool and get some sunning in. We get a pizza and some drinks at the poolside café and sit and unwind for a couple hours.

Since it’s just Brittney and I we decide it’s time to go hit the monorail and get souveniers for the hubbies back home. Our adventure for that is usually the Star Trek thing at the Hilton. They are not full on trekkies…but they could be without hesitation.

We buy a 24 hour pass for $10 since we know we will be using it for the ride to Sahara and then back up the strip to Flaming-O.

We exit at The Hilton and go to Quark’s Bar (this is goober bar to me). All I imagine is a bunch of Trekkies telling stories about Spock and those fuzzy creatures, Trebbles maybe? So I have a margarita and Brittney has a long island ice tea (not good she said). We shared some chips and chili and bought a 6 pack of Romulan Ale for $20 or so then back on the monorail to Sahara.

Brittney wanted to find Price is Right machines and she knew exactly where they were. So we parked ourselves and ordered drinks. I put in $20 and eventually cashed out my $20 and we moved on to the Bonanza Super Gift Shop across the street. We get gifts and get back on the monorail and back to The Flaming-O. Drop off packages in the room and back on the monorail to Bally’s and walk to Aladdin for a late dinner at La Salsa. I had the Enchilada Suizas and they were good. We people watched for a bit and headed back to Bally’s for a drink at the Tequila Bar. I had a regular margarita but I am not a big fan of their mix. It’s actually a little on the tart side. But I drank it! We listened to the band in the lounge and they did a good show. They were kinda Commodores/Al Green style.

Back to The Flaming-O and off to bed around 2 or 3.

    Tuesday:

Check out of The Flaming-O and head over to Monte Carlo for our last night. We wanted to get there early enough to enjoy the pool before going to a meet with Kats and Leon (from LVI).

Our room was ready and we went up and got ready for the pool. Got to the pool and got chairs right in front of the lazy river. We sat our stuff down and headed for the grill to get drinks and snacks. I get in the bar line and order a 45 ounce margarita ($14.95 for the first one and $8.95 for refills). Brittney orders chicken fingers and fries. We met a couple ladies from Illinois and chat with them briefly. They asked how much my tattoo on my arm hurt and I replied not as much as the one on my back.

We get settled in and enjoy our lunch poolside. I enjoy my margarita and we try out the wave pool. But it was cold so we go in the lazy river and take a couple rounds. Back to the room at 3pm to get ready for the night out.

Kats calls about 5 and says they are downstairs. So I tell her we will be there in 5 minutes and we meet Kats and Leon outside the Monte Carlo Brew pub. We go inside and enjoy some French Onion Soup and Nachos. Good conversation and great people to meet. I tell them we have to go to Circus Circus to get candy for my son. We do this every year…Brittney and I hit the candy shop and get 1 piece out of every bin in the place. My son really enjoys this and it is tradition now.

We go to our room and grab a couple things and then head down to take a taxi. Kats says we can go with them if we don’t mind stopping at the Rio on the way to CC. That is fine we would love to see the rooms at the Rio.

We get to CC around 7:30-8:00 and the candy place closed at 6:00. That is wrong! So I figure I will hit it in the morning and get it done. Kats tells Leon she wants to do the “Old Time Photo†thing…he doesn’t look too happy but we tell him to just do it. Well the photo place was closed. What the hell….does CC roll up at 6:00 now?

    Part IV

So moving on we are heading back to the Rio and we stop at the Love Boutique just to check it out. I thought for sure Leon was having none of it. But he went in with us. They have oils, lotions, potions, videos, S&M stuff and stripper style clothes. We wandered around and took a couple pictures. I think Leon groped a mannequin! ;) I bought a new shot glass that so nicely describes me. It reads “I (heart) Boysâ€. So I am set now!

So back to the Rio we played a few machines and lost. Brittney was looking for a replacement to her voodoo doll we got a few years ago. She broke the head off her last one when someone upset her. But we never found one so we will have to look at another location next time. I think I saw them at the Wax Museum a few years back. Will have to check it out another time. We head up to the Chippendales store and I find a shirt the matches my shot glass "I (heart) boys". SOLD!

Getting a little late and Kats and Leon are still on “the other timezoneâ€. So we bid our farewells and got our hugs and headed back to Monte Carlo. It was still a little early so we decided to check out the lounge. We stopped over at the Brew Pub and had a drink with a 2 for 1 coupon and then headed out to the casino floor for our last gambling for the trip. Brittney found a Barking Bucks machine and lost. I found a Red, White & Blue machine and lost. I found my way to the bar and plopped $20 in the VP machine, ordered a drink and enjoyed it. The bartenders were very nice (Cary, Joseph and Danny).

Brittney eventually made her way to the bar and played some VP and cashed out what she put in. So I say she won. Over to Sbarro for a piece of pizza and a drink then up to the room to get some rest. Brittney left about 7:20 for her flight and I left town about 1:00pm after I took care of some personal business.

Home at 7:30 Wednesday night to a dirty house and a happy husband and son.

We did eat at Flaming-O dinner buffet and it was excellent.

The valet at MB on a Saturday night takes about 30 minutes to get your car back.

Won a Silver Strike at Monte Carlo with $3 in the machine.

Sorry there wasn’t more drinking involved but I think we covered enough buffoonery on Thursday to last the entire trip.

I’ll have to add the pictures later since I know you all are waiting on this and my cable to download is at home. I didn't proofread so please forgive the errors.

    Thanks for reading!

"Oooooohhhhhhh, 55 minutes of pummeling for $80, can’t beat that!"

You're right on the money with that one, Tonya, particularly for Vegas. ;)

Enjoyed the TR...glad to see the "circle of spouse" trips is ever-widening...

    ...just add alcohol...

Almost sounds like you were hanging out with my crew on that first night!

    45 oz Margie's at Monte Carlo....ooooohhh yesssssss.....

I'm a Ho, Stardust, Sahara kinda girl....this sentence could spark a topic for months.

Glad to hear someone else stayed at the Flaming-O. I usually end up staying there to use the pool, but the last two times I've been there it was freakin' cold.

We liked the pool area. I have photos that I will add tomorrow hopefully. Our room was 21031 and 21033 and faced the pool/garden area, if anyone needs to know that.

Tonya, I guess after a trip like that you're worthy of having the first name "Vegas".

Did you ever find any of the JUMBO slot machines you were looking for? It was such a wild TR maybe I missed it if you did.

    Thanks for the fun read

Killer, we did see a few Jumbo machines. We ended up playing a Blazing 7's $1 machine that was a progressive in place of the jumbo machine.

    Some other random thoughts:

During Brittney's massage the next day she told me she thought the oil was "tequila scented". I told her it was the therapist squeezing it out of her body.

I did get a refill of my 45 oz margarita for $8.95 at the Monte Carlo pool.

The nacho platter at Peppermill will easily feed 3 people. Some guy ordered it and it was about 4-6 inches high of stuff.
