Default Harrah's "Junkets"

My A-Lost conversion just came through (now I have 2 Total Rewards accounts!) and I have an offer for a flight from Houston to Tunica for 3 days with flight and hotel for $199 pp.

My question is this--do they offer these junkets at lower prices (or free) also? It may be a fun trip if our play is higher at some point and the offer is a little cheaper. It looks like they have a monthly flight from Houston and many other cities.

I am always trying to figure out low cost ways to go to a new destination...don't know if this one will ever pan out or not!!

They do offer these for free, but usually for their higher rated level players.

As said above there are some free ones, but unless you really increase your play you won't see them.

Where they offer the flights to depends on where you are: I'm in Vancouver, BC and they are always to Reno or Laughlin for $199 to 279.

And they never offer them to Las Vegas.

We've gone on a couple of free trips to Tunica from Dallas...nice trip...they gave us new slot cards and some goodies..coupons, etc. Hotel accomodations are okay..not anything elegant, but nice. Shuttles run from the hotels to the casino and there is one that runs from Harrahs to Horseshoe...all free.

The only free one I was ever offered was to Atlantic City.

Otherwise they vary - Reno, Tahoe, only a couple to Tunica. Most are $249 & up pp - I had one where the 2nd person got to come free.

If I could get a free one to Tunica I would probably jump at it, depending on dates as there are multiple casinos.

I have received free offers to Atlantic City, New Orleans, Reno, Tunica, Kansas City, and Biloxi. I live in the Atlanta area. These offers include a companion.

I think it depends on their business cycle a bit, too. If they are projecting a slow period they will up the offer from a package price to an all paid or at least boost the extras. Not every market will offer free air but may offer a travel reimbusement, instead. But in general, the better your average play, the nicer the offer. My trip to you would be to go through your profile on Harrahs.com. There should be a way to indicate which market you want offers from. Otherwise you may only get stuff from the Southern locales when you are willing to try other parts of the country.
