thanks for the nice comments everyone...wynn didnt upfront rfb me until i had 5 trips of history with them, so i dont think it would be easy to do that. prob best method for the with them is short time high bet taste while u r staying at bellagio, then ask for next time. if youve already done that and have some history with wynn, just call casino mkt.

While we are all here, I would like to go ahead and mention what a stinking pile of feces the Harrah's company is. I just got off the phone with their flagship, or more like Titanic in boating terms, property caesars palace. I was thinking about adding a suite to my comped room in April as I am ending up with a decent crowd of buddies and thinking we could split a Forum Tower Royal Suite with my double connector comped forum tower deluxe and a rollaway, with couch basically sleep 5 guys in a nice suite for pretty cheap.

Well the deluxe is comped so no worries there, but the royal is a little too pricey at $1904 on the Caesars site, so I try travelocity, and with tax there for the exact same nights it is $1,630.11. Try it for yourself April 15-18....punch in those dates and see how great Harrah's is. So I notice their BEST RATE guarantee. I call 'em up and see if they'll match it. NOPE. The best rate guarantee is against THEMSELVES. HUH?!?!?!? If they change the rate, you can get the new lower rate. Hmmmmm. Couldn't you ALWAYS do that with every hotel on earth by calling and cancelling and rebooking??? LOL

but it gets EVEN FUNNIER. I talk to the supervisor cause no way are they guaranteeing the rate vs their own website, right? NOPE, they are guaranteeing it for only 4 hours.

So basically what your telling me ms supervisor is that if I book on totalrewards.com and come back 3 hrs later and the rate is cheaper I can fill out 10 forms in triplicate and you'll give me the difference plus 10%? yes that is their deal.

Ha, what a joke. No wonder i rarely if ever stay at their craptastic properties. It pisses me off that I even gamble at Bally's, although I have stuck them for 3 handpays in the past 6 weeks so I've surely gotten the better of it, but jesus, they just embarass themselves.

so basically their idiot manager didn't even know it was against third party websites, she thought the guarantee was against themselves ONLY.

I've gotten ZERO comp value for my play at Harrah's. I don't mean minimal. I have gotten NOTHING except 6 nights at Caesars the one time in August, but that wasn't even fully comped, I think I had to pay $107/night on average.

I haven't seen promo chip one or a free crouton from those worthless slobs.

I am telling you people if you are playing over quarters you will get better comps from MGM-Mirage, and probably much better at Palazzo. If you ware playing over dollars you might as well play at Wynn.

The only use for a Harrah's mailer is buttwipe when your out of TP. Im looking at this damn free frozzzzen hot chocolate, 2 for 1 flamingo buffet. i mean really come on.

I am sooooo glad Gaggles spanked the living crap out of that rat-hole Bally's for 2 royals last trip.

from now on Gaggles we are grabbing two homeless guys ever time we go inthe diamond lounge, bringing them in and leaving them for the day, then we will rinse and repeat for each diamond lounge.

Love the Diamond Lounge idea! I would much rather play and stay at a MGM-Mirage property, but they won't give me free rooms and Harrahs will. So, until the day MGM starts handing over comped rooms I'll be staying at Caesars or Ballys

I have despised Harrah's since we stayed there in 1998 on Derby weekend. Even though we don't play BIG money like some others, we made a point to gamble 90% of the time at Harrah's that trip and got NOTHING in return.

Oddly enough we were staying there because Bally's made a dick move the year before. I had stayed at Bally's on Derby weekend for YEARS and they used to have a GREAT party. Well I didn't get my invite in 97 so I called them. They said they were having the party but we didn't qualify (only HIGH rollers did) due to the Tyson vs Holyfield fight being that same weekend. Well Tyson had to postpone the fight about 3 weeks before that weekend. I got a invite from them via FEDEX and promptly told them to F OFF!!!

Now they are "in bed together".

Give me MGM properties any day!

not to mention the mgm properties are just better. i do get that their is both a critical mass issue, and a style of play . if you play a ton of quarter vp its better to go harrahs as mgm simply wont comp you. but part of that has to be paytables as well. i played 8/5 bartops at $5 level at ballys which is just retarded. i could be playing 9/6 at wynn at that level and get treated better or 9/5 at Bellagio with better service and a 34K progressive. at ballys ill get nothing ever for that except my 2800 in tier points, which again are useless. i guess im a quarter of the way to diamond though, and i did get the better of it due to the handpays but cmon.

We actually play quarter vp 80% of the time and MGM treats us GREAT. My craps habit probably helps but we play no other table games.

sorry to hear about your job situation....that is the main reason I was able to make so many trips out there last year, lack of work. Of course the grass is always greener, now that I am busy, I am thinking back to this time last year when I was in Orlando for a week with a Vegas road trip for 2-3 weeks in late March and April.

Now Gaggles is going possibliy in march when I have a great offer from palazzo for a tourney, flights are cheap, but alas I have to work, and I should be happy just to have some work finally.

But I am planning another road trip whenever this project wraps, which could be May or could be 2012.

Just got back from a couple nights in Biloxi and have been busy at work so just got around to catching up on this. Great report as always. Oh, I got the royals I missed out in Vegas last December. Who knew they were waiting for me at the IP in Biloxi?

Congrats on the Royals Sailor! You and Gaggles are true royalty.....I got the STIFF upper lip from the upper crust this last trip, they teased me with the good ole "four-to.." but never game thru.

I think I'm finally at the end of the line on comps, I rode the bronco all the way to the ground, nothing at Palazzo or Wynn for my April trip, staying at Caesars with a double booking at Luxor. It has to be the last time any MGM's will give me an offer, unless they highly value all that $5 VP action. I'll probably have some free rooms at Flamingo for life after all the cash I've dumped there but those rooms suck (and blow) so I'll pay before I stay there.

Unless I get a really good run like at Aria, I don't see any penthouses in my future.
