Wow, looks nice. I'm a big Bally's fan so I'm excited about this. It's going to be interesting to see how this changes Bally's pricing/comps/crowd etc, if at all.

    That's some cheap-looking furniture!

Also wondering if the casino floor designers were responsible for the carpet and wallpaper.

Nothing say 'retro' like formica. That wall covering looks like it came right out of an Austin Powers movie.

    That said. I LIKE IT!!!!

I think using patterns gives great impressions of greater space. Looks like baths will be remodeled as well! Just checked out the CET booking site. Big tub in premium king.

The firm Cagley and Tanner has done Paris Red Room and Flamingo Go Room design. Of course Flamingo got new baths while Paris got fresh paint in the baths. I think a few new faucets were put in where needed.

The views from Jubilee tower offer a better than North, and they have less rooms to renovate than when North Tower was done(756). This smells of an upgraded product offering by Bally with Jubilee being the top grade room to score now.

As for the design, it looks like a replica of what is floating around in current design trends for Bellagio room renovations, Cosmo, and Revel in AC.

Welcome to "modern décor"... I'm not into the whole George Jetson "look" either, but it's what's hip!

Well, as a long time Bally's South Tower fan, i am pleased at the "new" remodeling being done. I am staying at Bally's in November. However, i just noticed on the rate calender that NOW the rates are reversed pertaining to the South vs the North. Now, if i want to book Bally's in 2014, i can book free nights IN THE NORTH TOWER, while the south tower has "options". What this means is if i want to stay in the South, i will probably need the $20 trick to upgrade for free rooms IN THE SOUTH TOWER. Please make sure that if you want to stay at Bally's, be aware that the room rates are reversed, what was once free is now "not" free if you are comped.

Just an update to those who are booked already at Bally's or considering Bally's as a destination.
I booked Bally's before March 1st for November, so i am comped and no resort fee which used to be in the South Tower. That was a standard room and many people would upgrade to the North. Now, looking at my reservations once again, they changed it to the North Tower, which i don't want, and may cancel Bally's and stay at Flamingo comped (but would have to pay the resort fee).
I am P.O'd, not because the South Tower didn't need upgrading, but because my reservation, which i had made in Feb., was changed for no reason. Unless someone can tell me that the South Tower "upgrade" will be completely finished by November, i need an explanation on this policy.

ive has this argument before with them and if you look at your conformation and res there is fine print thats says room type is only a request not a gurentee .thats basicaly is for comped rooms.you get the basic and you can be upgraded from there.

if you payed for a room type that would be a differnt thing or a offer of a gurented suite and limo but otherwise just wait till you check in and see what happens.

also they might have taken that tower out of service while doing reservations as i just checked its showing not available for sept and i have a whole month of comps at the north tower if i want to book it.

i rember them doing the type of this at flamingo when they where updating to go rooms.

ps if you call the front desk and ask nicely near you reservation time they might block out the type of room you want.i assume your platnium or beter .

No hotel in the world guarantees special requests, which includes room types. If you don't get the room that you paid for, the hotel should refund the difference in rates to you.

It will be interesting to see where those rooms rank in the CET hierarchy.

I read this thread and decided to play around with the Total Rewards website looking for reservations at Ballys. Every set of dates I entered told me that the Jubilee Tower was unavailable. All of the same dates were available in the North Tower. Prior to today, I was generally comped in the South Tower for up to 5 nights and never saw a comped night in the North. Today all the comped dates are in the North Tower. I tried dates in August, September, December and January. Guess the new Jubilee Tower is now the 'nicer' Bally's tower.

I did read in an article today that the new rooms will be available for stays beginning Nov 1st, although people will be able to book them starting soon. It sounds like they've taken them off line temporarily and are only offering North Tower for the time being.

That is the reason why i made the original post on the "Comp" board. I have been booked at Bally's since Feb. for a Nov. stay. I was booked for a south tower room which has been the normal procedure for over 10 years (since my first stay at Bally's). They now changed me to North Tower classic. The North Tower WAS the room that many people upgraded to. Now, it's reversed.
The Jubilee Tower goes for $89-$99 for the basic room. That is more expensive that the Paris Red rooms, more expensive than the PH Hip rooms, way more than Harrah's and more than Flamingo's Go Strip view rooms.
The rate calender has never given me comps at Paris/PH, (except for 1 or 2 days, i always book 5 days) where i usually play at, yet Caesars, where i'm staying in August, is comped, even though i hardly ever gamble at Caesars. I am talking about Sun-Fri as far as comps.
I have no problem "upgrading" to the Jubilee with the $andwich, however, it's unclear to me when i go in Nov., if all the rooms (about 750) will be completed? As far as i can tell, by looking at pics here and across the web, the Jubilee rooms don't look like $100 rooms. The reason why i always stay at the South Tower is because of the location and the ease of going in/out (when the escalators work). Most people in here always preferred the North Tower, now most everyone likes the South because they changed the decor better than Paris, PH, and Flamingo? The Bally's South Tower, unless i missed it, is still in the same location since the MGM days.

When you combine the view with the updated room, yes, these will become some very popular rooms on the strip. There are so many people who rank a view high on their must lists and these rooms will probably be the best bang for the buck for people who want to see the fountains. I don't know if all 750 rooms will be done by November but enough will be to book them in a new room class. Once all the rooms are updated and the novelty wears off, the prices will fall in line. Also don't forget the Bally's from the CET perspective is ranked over all the hotels north of it on the that side of the strip and has been since they took over Park Place. I am sure part of the remodel is to make sure it stays at that level. I've always known that when they redid the South Tower that it would become the more elite one.

As for me, if they upgrade the mattresses in North, I'll gladly stay there, old furniture and all. But those damn safes have go to go!

I also booked comped rooms in November for the south tower and just realized it changed to north tower. Not sure if that's a good thing or not but I think if i was comped south I shouldn't have had it switch.

Either way I can't wait to be back.
