Default Birthday "Comps", Do They Still Exist?

I mean if you're spending your birthday (day) in Vegas, do casinos still do things like bonus points, free or percentage off on dining, cocktails?

I know the Orleans gives bonus points for your birthday - any other birthday "comps" still around?

    Default nyny birthday offer

I received a 'birthday' offer from nyny including some free nights and some freeplay/chips but the offer didn't seem any better than the usual offers I receive from them. They should bump up the offer to give people more of an incentive to celebrate their birthday in Vegas.

I'm curious about this too. If you mention it's your anniversary (not gonna be there the exact day, but it's the whole reason for the trip) can you get anything comped, such as a bottle of bubbly or discounts on a meal or show? Guess it never hurts to ask!

Not sure if you need the offer on your account or not, but every year MGM Grand sends my wife and I an email wishing us a happy birthday and saying that we just need to stop by the Players Club booth at MGM Grand (don't have to be staying there) during our birth month for $10 in free play.

My mom signed up for the player's card at South Point and immediately received 2500 points because it was her birthday month.

also added if you like coffee/specialty coffee, if you're Starbucks member card holder, you'll get a free coffee deal on your B-day. There's one at MGM and Riviera?

If you have a small rapport with the check in clerk, pit boss, cocktail waitress, or anyone that works at the casino, more likely then not you will receive some type of comp. Every time I have mentioned a special occasion at a Harrah's property, I have been taken care of above and beyond my normal comps based on play. Free room upgrade (No $20 Trick), free buffet passes, etc)

If you just walk up to someone and say 'It's my Birthday, What can I have for free?" you will probably not get anything.

I can't remember which casino, but the slot machine wished me a Happy Birthday when I put my card in. Also, while paying BJ, the pit critter wished me a Happy Birthday after he checked my card in the pit.

Venetian, Wynn (and probably most casinos) will double the $5 freeplay and give you a little gift (pen) if you sign up as a new member of their slot club, but that's not really a comp. I got 2 doz red roses from the Bellagio staying there last year on my birthday - that was nice.
