The past few trips to Vegas the casino host has arranged for transportation for me to/from the airport via the hotel/casino limo.
I always tip the driver but I'm not certain what should be a customary amount. They seem appreciative, but I guess I wouldn't expect them to show me their disappointment.
So.. what would you consider a reasonable amount for the driver?
Would the amount change based on the number of people in the limo (usually it's only me, but sometimes it's a party of two)..

I always tip $20 each way for the hotel limo. It's not really the hotel, they contract with Bell, but it is a comp. Just the two of us, but sometimes four people if my brother and SIL are on the same flight. I still think $20 is enough. McCarran to MSS.
EDIT: If my bro & SIL are staying at a different downtown hotel, like Four Queens, then maybe $30 to drop them off first.

from the airport I usually tip $10 - $20 just depends on the driver. I don't get comped limos from the airport so mine are paid through Bell or Presidential. 9 times out of 10 they would get a $20 but have had some cranky ones and I just give them a $10. For the limo downtown to the Golden Gate that our host sends full of booze our group tips at least $40-50

No booze on the one our host arranges and sometimes not even water. Two trips ago the driver had beer and for that he got an extra tip.

Generally, I'm $20 for 1 or 2 people. May $5-10 more if I ask for a stop (to pick up drinks etc).

I usually use presidential, $20 from the airport to our strip hotel (whatever one it is) and then $10 on the return trip back to the aiport....Like Macker said, sometimes they can be cranky, I'm tempted to turn that $20 into a $10, but always end up giving them $20 for the trip TO the strip!

Thanks. Limo is fully stocked and I have been giving $20 one way when solo and $25-$30 when it's two of us.

Glad to see I'm in the "ballpark"... occasionally the Hard Rock sends the one of their valet guys in one of their Escalade's to get me from the airport or take me there and I always tip $20. Same thing if I decide to go down to the strip and need a ride or get picked-up from a dinner meeting down there. I think their guys enjoy getting outta the heat too.

Never had a comped limo, but when I hire them out of the airport, I tip $10.
If I were to get a comp, I'd up that to $20.

We always use Presidential, always request the same driver and tip him $20 each way. Now that we have developed a rapport with him he will go the extra mile. Last trip when the bellmen ignored our arrival, he said "This will take a minute, sit back and relax". We saw him approach the desk and rip that guy a new one, finger waving in the face and all.:nono:

That right there is extra tip worthy if you ask me,:evillaugh

Which driver if I may ask? Had three different ones last year and only one stood out but I lost his card when one of my dogs decided to eat my leather wallet. Going to use them on upcoming trips and I'd like to ask for a specific driver

Last year, Wisconsin Ted was our driver. He's by far the best we've had from Presidential. My wife had sat next to an elderly widow on the flight and she was going to take a shuttle. My wife asked Ted if we could include her in our ride, though she was going to another hotel and we had planned a stop at a liquor store. He said no problem, found her bag on the carousel and presented both ladies with a rose. I tipped him $40 for being such a nice guy.

Wilson A. He is top notch and he will remember you! We book the airport special with the stretch and last trip he shows up with the Super Escalade, because that what he rolls in.

    Now the disclaimer.

If you are bringing your girl be prepared to have her really like him. Other drivers show up in a suit, he does a tux. No joke your lady will love this guy. We do not touch our luggage or our purchase at the liquor place (can't remember the name of it). If he isn't with a client and we call he is there as simple as that.

I won't disclose his last name but when I see him in a couple of days I will ask if it;s OK. If it is I will post it up. Requesting Wilson A. should suffice though.

I do know he is working on a couple of other entertainment type things so he would probably welcome an intro to the VMB.

Thank you. I'm sure my wife would love the attention. If he allows you to use his last name, please let me know.

Getting a comped ride is always nice. I would say $20 is a great starting point, unless they are horrible. if they make stop for you or anything over and beyond, more.

It's not a limo, but the el-cortez gives a ride back to the airport in a town car, I give him $5 and he says" thank's Appreciate it". I was in the car with another guy once who was bragging to the driver what a High Roller he was, he tipped a buck.
