It was a total cluster-F when we were out there a few weeks ago. Most convenient entry/exit on foot was the side entrance along Flamingo.

I love Bally's, but can't recommend it right now. Look how close the pedestrians are to the eastbound traffic lanes on Flamingo. That's a narrow sidewalk, too, with lots of bus traffic coming right at you...

actually not i walk it all the time i just did . theres a walk way behind the bus stop theres plenty of side walk to walk in fact my 70 plus year old parents had no problem walking there for the last week and then took the croos over to balligio. you can always just cross over to the crowell by where the valet is very easy also.

Does this mean the Hobo Fountains are no longer there? I don't get to watch folks do their laundry anymore?

Right, and when people are boarding a bus at that stop, you have to walk behind the little waiting area and get accosted by people who hang out behind there.

Look at the photo--in front of the construction barrier. There's not a lot of room there.

I guess everyone's mileage varies but I stayed there in December and found that little stretch of Flamingo pretty unpleasant.

I have been to Vegas billions of time in 30 + years including Bally's next week..............i have never been "accosted" by undesirables. I normally just keep walking.

The timeshare people on the other hand, are more aggressive and you will be accosted by really really undesirable people that will walk a block with you if they have to.

A bum in rags is more desirable than the bums in suits with a name tag.

First, I'm not one to call my fellow human beings "undesirables" or "bums." There but for the grace of God go I, and all that. Vegas is full of all kinds of people, including the timeshare people who seem to bother you a lot. Like you, I ordinarily just keep walking.

I was just saying that that particular bus stop becomes a choke point when a bus is loading there, and while trying to make your way through it, you may be treated to some interactions with fellow human beings, of all kinds and degrees of sobriety. Particularly at night, this may or may not be a welcome thing for any given traveler trying to make his way west on Flamingo...

    Ballys construction?

Does anyone know how the construction is coming along in front of Ballys? Is it only during the day and not at night or on the weekend?
Would hate to have a room overlooking that area with all the racket at the wrong times.

We were there two weeks ago and had a room overlooking the construction in the jubilee rooms.
Yes, there was noise and it was some at night and very early in the morning. We knew about it so packed a fan to run and it didn't bother us at all.

Besides walking on Flamingo to the Strip, can you still walk directly across Flamingo from Ballys valet to the parking/valet at Cromwell?
How is the entrance to Ballys valet from Flamingo Rd? It looks narrow in the photo.

I have to disagree too. I stayed at Bally's the end of March and I walked that sidewalk probably 20+ times. It wasn't bad at all, just pay attention where you're walking cause not everyone else will.

We arrive late tomorrow night. I'll try to remember to take current pics and post when we return. We're in Jubilee Tower, and I'll post if we hear construction noise as well. With all the walking we typically do there, I don't mind going though Paris. We usually do anyway.
