1.) I think you're just being paranoid. Unless you were causing some problems, they likely wouldn't have your picture posted.

2.) No, they're just trying to be friendly I'd say.

Certainly all of the hosts talk so there might be something unique about you where your host mentioned you to another host. Plus, they may see your name on some list somewhere for events or something so recognize your name.

There is a VIP arrival list that will go out daily at most places that management gets.

Most tracking systems have a "hot player" functionality that will tell you who the top people currently playing are and where. Some even send texts or messages to pagers, etc.

Were you varying your bet? If not, I honestly have no idea.

They might say something at a table. I'd ask.

    Quick question on ADT

Let's say I play bj for 4 hours at $200 a bet and get an ADT of $200/hr for that session.

Then I play pai gow for an hour at $25 because I am new to the game and just trying it out.

Is my ADT $800 + $25 for an ADT of $825
Or are they averaged? For an ADT of $412.50 over 5 hours?

I guess my question is does playing other games a lot lower than your normal average for a shorter time add to or damage your ADT?

Thanks so much for all your help.

Good question. I'll have to double check the settings but I'm 95% sure It be the sum:

    Day 1
    BJ = 4 x 200 x 60 x .025 = 1200
    PG = 1 x 25 x 30 x .1 = 75

    Day 1 ADT = 1275

Thanks for checking I only ask because after doing that my offers went from 3 comped nights with $200 resort credit to 2 comped nights with $100 resort credit at MGM. I thought my lower pai gow play may have lowered my ADT thus reducing my offers.

Thanks again for all your help.

Ive read the stories on Don Johnson's Atlantic City run but always thought there would be some other asian whale that no ones ever heard playing baccarat who would be bigger.

Some more for you, if you dont mind....

1.) What the biggest/most frequent mistake you see that gamblers always make....whether it be not hitting a 17 against an 8 in bj, not taking full odds in crap, or playing sucker games like keno or the big wheel...etc.

2.) Is there one hotel/casino that you envy...or one place that you always recommend to out-of-towners who want to stay at a first class place?

3.) What do you think of Resorts World and Elan (or whatever the New Frontier site will be called)? Are the big boys scared of the competition from them? And similarly, wtf is going on with Fontainebleau????

4.) With the crackdown on casino junkets in Macau, and the subsequent drop in action there, are casinos in Las Vegas worried about their profits now? (i read steve wynn say that 50% of their high limit action IN LAS VEGAS comes from players from china)

Direct mail criteria is science with a lot of art, too. There's not a standard methodology across the industry so it could be a lot of things that affected your offer. Maybe they take a weighted average over there, not sure. The way I do it, though, is that I take all of the theo generated from each rating (100 ADT from BJ session on Day 1, 200 ADT from bacc session on Day 1, 150 ADT from BJ session on Day 2) and then divide that by number of days played (100 + 200 + 150 = 450, 450 / 2 = 225).

Yep, good documentary. I saw it on cable once. He drove a hard bargain with the casinos setting up his requirements for play.

What should players know about casino credit?

Lowest line that one can open? (My guess is that the Strip casinos don’t mess with anything less than 5-10k)

Casino’s expectations once a line has been opened? Put 50% of it into play? 100%?

Is opening a line the magic ticket to getting a host’s attention as some of us think it is?

Percentage of players that have a line opened?

Thanks once again for answering our questions!

1.) If you're a regular gambler, I think it's a really good thing to have. Save money on fees, it's no interest, etc. Like all things related to finance and gambling, if you're not disciplined obviously don't get in over your head. I have credit lines at my regular hang outs.

2.) Probably $2,000 at small / mid range property.

3.) No expectations other than you use it to gamble and have enough money to pay us back. If you're using it as a no interest loan to finance something else or to take the money down the street, then we'll shut it down.

4.) There's really no "magic ticket". Hosts have a minimum threshold by which they can get credit for hosting you. That threshold depends on the property but normally starts around $300 average daily theoretical at a medium-sized property. Play at that level regularly, and a host will start giving you some love. If you open up a $100,000 credit line and never use it or only bet at a $50 ADT, a host isn't going to talk to you. That having been said, if you don't have an established history with a casino, opening a line of credit will help you get some upfront comps or room upgrades. But if you burn them (e.g., open up a line of credit, they give you a suite, you never play) then they'll never talk to you again.

5.) Um, not many as a percentage. 1-3%.

Just wondering? In figuring ADT do you factor in whether a person is a smart gambler or a dumb gambler? For example one person uses a strategy card when another person just guesses when playing video poker or in blackjack one person plays basic strategy while another person plays hunches.

I am a machine VP player, love the game and reckon I have good knowledge.. ( even win sometimes ) !! Two questions please
    1. While playing a multi denomination machine, If I change say from $1 to $2 dollar Does this change the game thats built into the machine as when I do this a good run sudddenly changes and it seems as though it knows and starts a new game.
    2. On a bank of progressives does One central computer control the outcome of each machine or are they individual and work independantly.
