I would like to go to the Zion National Park on 0ctober 8 using the Interstate 15. I understand that some roads have been closed and/or being repaired due to resents flashflood. Could anyone tell me if the I-15 going to Zion National Park is open for such a trip ?

I-15 has been completely reopened. You shouldn't have a problem.

Yes, it looks reopened, but be sure to watch the weather as the area is prone to flooding. I got bullhorned out of The Narrows once. Although I was disappointed not to be able to hike up there, it was for my own good. :)

A ranger stands at the head of the trail and yells over a bullhorn to get the hell out of the canyon. :)

I like that a lot better than the urban definition.

A few years back we rode out a monsoon at a gas station in Hurricane going back to St. Geo from the park. We later learned we were one of the last cars to be able to get past Springdale that evening.

I've said it many many times here, that swath of Utah and northern Arizona is some of the grandest scenery to be seen across America. Anyone who has been to Vegas X times but never made an allowance for a Colorado Plateau excursion is really missing out. I know, I know, vacay time is limited, people need to get their gamble and booze on, I know, I know. :peace:

Flash floods and rain stopped Saturday. Drove in today Sunday from Vegas without issues. The water in the narrows is muddy brown. And some area are chest deep. We didn't go in yet, will try on Tuesday likely.
