I think you have a point: it's hard to see a resort as top tier when they don't have a resident show. We don't see that stretch of strip as a monolith like MGM apparently does so you don't think about the other theater options nearby. You end up thinking Aria is lacking a key amenity. I was expecting some CDS shows to close but I was expecting to see them replaced with headliner residencies. That would have done a lot to raise Aria's awareness.

Saw it, was bored with it. Glad I didn't pay for it.

Slept through most of Zarkana and 'O' - boring for me.
Mystere was the first CDS I saw way back when - and it was good - but one and done.
Recently saw ONE - great show with audience interaction - might see this one again over time.

LOVE is my absolute favorite - have seen it 8 times - mostly comp'd but paid to see it a couple times - will see it again next trip, etc - I love LOVE!

This is why there are options. I loved Zarcana and thought Love was a snoozefest

Yep - whether it be food, shows, gaming - lots of choices - lots of voices - that's why Vegas works for so many of us.

I liked Zarkana the first time I saw it in 2013. I saw it again right after they "refreshed" the show and felt like it wasn't as solid of a show.

I do believe it's time for Cirque to reassess their demand in Vegas. With the number of shows they have now on the strip, there's a sameness to many of them.

(re)invention is the mother of necessity

I agree. Cirque has run its course. Having been to all of them (except Elvis which got yanked pretty fast), Love was the only one worth seeing more than once, and most of the others are just more of the same, to different music and costumes. Cirque is amazing, with very talented artists and costumes but they have run out of new ideas. Zarkana was weird, the stage wasn't elaborate and the music was horrid.

Now Absinthe.... That was fantastic, classic and offensive. Loved it.

I think it more the casinos needing to assess whether they can do better than CDS. I can see some of them running for years but there are others in the Zarkana category that should be closed with the casinos going in a different direction.

These are all so subjecting. Criss Angel was awful, nobody argues that. I HATED love, really liked Zarkana and Mystere and was pleasantly surprised by Zumanity after all of it's awful reviews, I really found it entertaining.

I also liked Zarkana more than LOVE. But I saw Zarkana twice. First time was much better than the second. Felt like we got the B crew on Take 2. And if I was alive when the Beatles were active, I could see myself liking LOVE more, or if I was on acid, but alas I was sober watching it...

I can see them giving up on another Cirque show.
I was surprised to hear NO show and increased meeting space.
Maybe they think they are close enough to the new Arena that guests will walk there for whatever rotation of headliners or sports are playing at the arena.
