    Hi All,

Getting pumped for our trip next month and will be having a extensive bar set up in our Comped suite.

Post your pics of some bar set ups you have constructed in Vegas to pre-game.

Total Wine & More will be getting lots of our business.

Our bar would be a picture of a bottle of Old Weller Antique bourbon and an ice bucket. If I want anything more than that I'll let a leggy cocktail waitress bring it to me, be it at the tables or Parasol Up.

Gosh... I never thought to take photos. I have on at least 3 times hosted a small group of people who've been on work sub-committees with me to the pool-villas at the Hard Rock. I had the room-service folks set up some bourbon, vodka, beer and some mixers and water along with some meats & cheeses, but we're talking' like 10 of us... nothin' big and and all of them but me had to head home afterwards, so we weren't wearing' the lampshades or anything.

My bar is a bottle of Jagermeister in the ice bucket. That's it!
If I wanna drink, I'll go have a "free" one downstairs.

IMHO Vegas is just too much fun to be up in your room partying. :wink2:

The party is downstairs, not in my room. But normally have a case or 2 of beer and a couple bottles in the room.

No pics, but vodka, diet coke, and ice for a drink or two after video poker in the evening as we watch a bit of TV to unwind.

Other than sleep (and maybe a shower) I spend as little time in my room as possible.
Why set up a bar in the room? Are you afraid they will run out of booze downstairs?:wink2:

    Haha exactly.

Also the price difference for alcohol compare to back home sees us trying lots of different spirits while pre-gaming.

Bring between 8-12 bottles home and happily pay the duty/ customs.

    2 reasons:
    (1) Pregaming
    (2) A "roadie" or "traveler" as others have said. I like to be able to wander the casino with a drink in hand before I decide what I wish to play. Also, sometimes you may sit at a game where you just missed the cocktail waitress and it could be 10-15 minutes before you see her. That's a long time to go thirsty =)

Two very sad, very expensive bar set-ups from my last trip. The one in The Cosmo was out of necessity. I had only planned on watching the last 15 minutes of a World Cup match, but it went into overtime and then penalties (Costa Rica – Greece maybe). What was I gonna do? Stay sober for 45 minutes? Ha!

The one from Encore is just pure laziness and Vegas-related improvidence.

We hit Sams before heading to the hotel. Stock up with a case of beer, enough champagne and OJ for mimosas each morning, vodka, and cranberry juice. The luggage cart looks like a bar on wheels. Head to the room and "set up shop".

Do the Walgreens on the strip stock those styrofoam coolers? I'd love to get one for our next trip.

We've made the decision not to rent a car this time time around and take the taxi and monorail since we are staying at MGM Grand. So instead of car keys in my hand there's going to be a cocktail and I'm sure gonna pregame it again on this trip! If I can't score a fridge then a cooler is a must.

Careful where you put those styrofoam coolers. "a friend" accidentally left one of those coolers, full, on a table top in the hotel room and it leaked and kind of wrecked the top of the table but the hotel was cool about it. Apparently those things leak. That's what I've heard anyway.

My bar setup isn't anything to be proud of. Lots of variety of airplane bottles, cans of beer, whatever my husband is drinking at the time in a 26oz bottle because he argues with me that he'll drink it all and he either hardly touches it or drinks it all a little quickly, diet pepsi or coke zero, gatorade, diet sprite or 7up. It sounds like a lot but it isn't. I usually bring a 24 can folding soft sided cooler that is awesome and never leaks. But, the one time I forgot it.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like a small clear garbage liner is in need. Maybe set it on the bathroom counter top as backup.

I think bathroom floor with a towel under it is good, which is what "my friend" did after the table incident.

We have never brought any alcohol to our room in the 11 trips I have made so far. However I might pick up a bottle and a couple of mixers this trip.

Our best "bar" pictures from Vegas would just be a small ice chest with a few cans of beer, some mini bottles of peach schnapps and vodka, and some bottles of orange juice and a couple of cans of Coke
