This has been working well for me. When i say well, i mean at least 15-20 drinks consumed in an evening.

Prior to drinking - 3 tums w/ water.
Upon awaking - Alka Seltzer Morning relief {double dose} w/ pint of water + 3 tums.
Follow up with a bottle of V8 veg juice.

Has me back to the real world within an hour

Chug a bottle of gatorade just before going to bed. You might wake up to pee, but you'll feel better in the morning.

It helps NOT to get the hangover!
    Two remedies :
    1) Do not mix alcohol with soda pop. Ruins the drink and will make you sick.
    2) Try to have a little food in your stomach before drinking.

If you can't do the above.........just keep drinking. You get the hangover when you stop.
    Good luck. :beer::beer:

Before you start drinking take a couple of B12 or B complex vitamins. These will really kill the hangover before it starts. Drink a sports drink right before bed. You'll be in good shape.

Drink as much water as I can remember to during the night. Drink a ton more along with 2 ibuprofen before bed. Keep a bottle of water on the nighstand because I will probably wake up during the night with cotton mouth and want more. In the morning drink some more water before anything else and then polish off a large bottle of V8 juce (ok to mix with vodka and tabasco :licklips: )

Following that up quickly with a breakfast of mexican food and coffee doesn't hurt (i.e. La Salsa)! Or if I slept too late then a nice big bowl of Pho!

Genetics help a lot. :beer:I can drink an amazing amount and wake up feeling just fine but I think it tends to run in the family.

Although...........start drinking different stuff and all bets are off. Pick one drink and stick to it all day and all night.

    From Wiki on B12.

Vitamin B12 is involved in the cellular metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. It is essential in the production of blood cells in bone marrow, nerve sheaths and proteins.[11] Vitamin B12 functions as a co-enzyme in intermediary metabolism for the methionine synthase reaction with methylcobalamin, and the methylmalonyl CoA mutase reaction with adenosylcobalamin[12]

Seems sound to me. Basically hangover get the f**K out of me quickly.

Caffeine and Nsaids are hit or miss for me.

The biggest cure for a hangover is to stay hydrated BEFORE going to sleep, drink lots of water/gatorade. Once you wake up and feel like crap the damage is done. It's better to stay hydrated beforehand........

Now......being wasted and remembering this is a different thing.

I've heard good things about pedialyte. After a recent experience, I think I'm going to get some of the powered pedialyte drink mixes for my suitcase for a backup.

I just had a bad bout with the flu and got so dehydrated I had to go to the ER... after they pumped me full of a couple litres of fluids and some other stuff, the nurse recommended I get some Pedialyte. She then winked and said, "that stuff is dynamite for hangovers too!"

The taste wasn't bad at all... a bit pricer than Gatorade for sure, but I'm gonna give it a try next week when in Vegas.

Also, Hangover Heaven is getting some media play in Vegas these days. Check the site below:

    1) slow down!! seriously - don't drink as fast - throw in some water occasionally and let the session last longer - it gives your body chance to process the poison you are putting in it.

    2) drink higher quality drink. top shelf or micro brew if beer is your choice - less chemicals involved and it is easier to recover.

    3) combine 1 and 2

    4) its vegas. if you are gonna party then here is the place to do it - why worry about the hangover when you can down the biggest white russian known to mankind, double the alcohol with everclear and later you can use that fancy plastic guitar/ drink holder to bang out some rocking tunes in the middle of the strip. you know it always impresses the ladies!! Even the ones dressed as cops!! wait - you're not a stripper? damn hope someone has pictures of that. and bail money.....

    Your best hangover cures......

Two years ago I started packing the Pedialite packets on my trips. I have not had a hangover since. I drink one before bed and follow it with another glass of water. I then do the same thing upon wake up if it was a rough one.
