    I just saw yoko Ono (spelling?) on letterman. Holy sh*t was that terrible. It was worse then Miley on the VMA's. I guess I always thought she was a little off her rocker, but this proves she hasn't even found the rocker, let alone the room it's in. Anyways it was bad. :eek2
    Sorry if I offended any Ono fans. Send any complaints to beeejay at the wonderful would of lobtster Rita's he's the official complaint taker there I heard. :thumbsup:

    Unfortunately, the music/film industry is filled with people who

    a. don't (want to) realize their time is up;
    b. don't know how to grow old gracefully; and
    c. live a great life enjoying the riches they have made

    After many tiring years on stage, going from city to city without breaks, belting out songs and dancing endlessly, feet hurting, legs aching and all this on hardly any sleep, I would be happy to fade into the background!!

    And you still have the respect of what your career built up.

    I had to check out youtube for that performance....ooooh my my, seems that the guy with the sheet over his head...with the megaphone fell off that same rocker that yoko did. If it were not for John Lennon that woman would not have made one cent off her music. :rolleyes2:

    I have listened to a couple of interviews that Grace Slick has given that says just that. She said there is no way she is going to be a granny up on stage attempting to recreate what once was. She would rather stay home and spend time with her grandkids. Some people can hold it together as they age, others, not so much.

    Okay, I had to come back to this thread. I just watched the video of YO on David Letterman. I have never fully known her "deal", watched her perform or heard her sing. But if this video is any indication of what she has been doing for the past 45 years, I have to ask - WHO IS LISTENING TO THIS WOMAN? All she did on this video was catcall, bellow, yell and yammer on about the people of the United States being used and peace, no war. What kind of "music" is this?

    I don't understand.

    Everyone likes to look at a car crash, no matter how bad it is.

    The disturbing part is that there are actual Yoko Ono fans.

    I'm pretty open minded in terms of music and I think some of the vocal stuff Yoko did on Double Fantasy worked in a pop context. The Mike Douglas show performance with Chuck Berry was priceless when she started "singing". Years I worked in recording a studio and she came in with Sean to do some work. One day she decided to do some vocal inflections on the outro of a song. I couldn't stop laughing, it was like laughing at a funeral or something. You know you shouldn't but you can't stop. I felt bad because Sean saw me laughing.

    She was nice enough and order us some great sushi!

    Yoko is 80. Getting up on stage at that age and performing is worthy of praise regardless of musical quality.
