    Old homestead or Gordon Ramsey?

Large (8-10) group of 40 something fathers out on the town. Must be CET for certain comp reasons.

Other choice for group dine was Mesa Grill.

    Thoughts?

Of the two I've only eaten at Gordon Ramsay (twice now) but it was the best steak I've ever had (I had the rip cap). I recommend it to anyone going to Vegas (even if they don't ask. ha!)

I had lunch at Mesa and thought it was just ok, nothing special in my books.

I've had dinner at both. I prefer Old Homestead. I love their bone on filet.

Neither. I would highly recommend BLT in Bally's. The food is great, and service can't be beat.

Easy answer: Old Homestead. GR sucks. Tried them both x2-3.

My favorite CET steakhouses in order where number one is the highest.

    1. BLT Steak - Bally's
    2. Strip House - PH
    3. Gordon Ramsay - Paris
    4. Old Homestead - CP
I love Ruth's Chris but have never been to the one at Harrah's; only when it was Range Steakhouse
Never been to Voodoo Steak or Center Cut Steakhouse

But what makes a good steakhouse is consistency, and I can't speak for that since I've only been to these steakhouses once or twice each. And also I ordered different cuts of steak at the different places, so my opinion is based on my only experience of that cut that I ordered.

My wife and I ate at Ruth Chris in Harrahs two weeks ago and it was wonderful. We ate at Ramsey Steak the last two trips but were disappointed.

I had the rib cap very flavorful, might be too salty for some

+1.....casual setting at a CET property, but as stated... great food (bone-in ribeye) AND service....half off drinks during HH....your entrée comes with popovers....and possibly a complimentary pate app serving ....

Old Homestead is more old school and less flash (or boring)
Ramsey's is pumping and modern (or annoying and loud)

    Both have great food.

Old Homestead can be loud also if you sit close to the nightclub across the walkway.

If it were me going to dine, i would choose GR. Ive been to homestead at borgata many times which is great. But i would choose GR based on me not trying it yet and already dining at homestead in ac.

I have sat at the bar of a nice steakhouse to dine, wearing nice shorts and a nice shirt...never had a problem, however, in the dining room, I would only wear nice jeans or pants (and a nice shirt of course)

I have eaten at both and would choose GR even if only for the sticky toffee pudding! OH was great as well but I felt it was more romantic where GR was not. We also really enjoy the Mesa Grill but for a group of 10 men I'd go to GR.
