For people who have stayed in them, what do you prefer the Salon suite at the Wynn or the Encore?
I have stayed in Salons at both hotels many times. They are remarkably similar. The Encore living room TV is 60" instead of 52" or so. All the Salons at both face the strip but Encore's have the best view of any W/E rooms. I've never been bothered by the club noise but one does face Surrender.
I almost always stay at Wynn if it's pool weather, as I much prefer Wynn TS pool and walking there from Encore is not what I want to do.
It much more comes down to which property you prefer as the rooms, especially after the Wynn re-do, are just not that much different.
Judging from the pictures, the Salon Suites seem similar to the Penthouse Suites at Bellagio, which I guess makes sense since Steve Wynn probably designed both.
I prefer the Encore side, the room seems larger
yes, but larger and no steam shower. he cheaped out on that for some unknown reason.
according to the old Wynn website, they are like 200 sq ft larger.
How do you think the Salon Suites compare to the Bellagio Penthouse? Which do you prefer?
never stayed at Wynncore, but one of the major reasons why is the lack of a steam shower in any of the suites. but outside of a villa-type accommodation, I don't think you can beat the B Pent anywhere.
The Encore side sucks IMO. It's pretty dead over there, I'm not a fan of the relatively small casino on that side, and when I talk to the dealers, they all say that guests say they prefer the Wynn side as well. The Wynn Salon Suites are pretty comparable to penthouses at Bellagio. The main difference is that at Wynn each suite has a massage room in it, if that matters to you.
Im the opposite and much prefer Encores side. Its not only because i like the rooms and pool area better its also that its much less crowded. I guess its a matter of preference but i always goes on longer trips, at least 2 weeks so i guess that play into it as well as its nice to have a more mellow home base.
